After a break from gaming and the selling off of my Black Templar Army I have decided to return with an Eldar army.

I decided to go with Yme-loc based on their background "Yme-Loc is one of the lesser known Eldar Craftworlds, known to be located close to the Eye of Terror between 989.M39 and 341.M40. Yme-Loc Eldar are talented artisans, and their armies are supported by powerful grav-tanks and Titans. The craftworld's traditional colours are grey with orange details." from Codex Eldar.

As you can see my army is definitely mechanized so it follows the fluff pretty well. Also I like the fact that it states they are supported by Titans which just gives me an excuse to get a revenant or phantom titan down the road

This is my first time painting Eldar and compared to Marines I find them way more enjoyable to paint.

Working on some guardians right now, will post more pics soon. Let me know what you think

I love the colors too. The Wraithlord/guard (sorry, don't know Eldar very well) and your vehicles are my favs.

Nice color choices and minis sir, make sure to thin your paints a bit more though, you are too talented to have thick paints distracting from your work!

Thanks for the comments! Definitely inspires me to get some more painted.

Majortom - Yeah I totally agree its pretty upsetting not getting a real smooth coat. I'm thinking about switching paints, I'm currently using the .99 cent applebarrel specials from wal-mart.

Here's a few more pics, I tried a different base coat for this fire dragon used some acrylic gesso and heavily thinned down the paint. Orange is such a pain to paint.

I'll have more of him up soon after I see how he turns out.

Update on the fire dragon, I think it still needs more coats of yellow

Looks awesome, I did not think that scheme would look any good when I saw it in the codex but you pulled it off. Well done

Thank you for the compliments! Haven't had much time for painting lately but got around to a little bit today so here's an update.

I swear I have painting ADD, instead of finishing my guardians I thought it would be fun to paint up some rangers. I know I know they aren't the Yme-loc paint scheme but it felt wrong giving snipers bright orange helmets.

And here is the latest on the guardians. This is the last army I ever use orange in, 20 coats later...

Gorgeous colors, really like how clean they look. The Wraithlord sniper is my favorite so far.

I think you´d like GW´s foundation orange, one coat of that and then your preferred orange shade, and you´d be set.

Back on the path of the Imperial Citizen

Still rolling ones...

I decided to start up a dark eldar army as well, here is my paint test model. Think I'm going to name them the Red Dawn Kabal.

I will be posting this in a separate blog once I'm finished with the Eldar

Great colour scheme, it'll look awesome in mass. I like the name too, the coming of the red dawn. Are you referencing the red crone?

Thanks, I'm not familiar with the red crone but I did steal it from the 80's movie Red Dawn (which is an awesome movie)

@Xanthos that orange foundation paint is amazing stuff thanks for the info

Just picked up an Airbrush, Iwata HP-CS, I'm going to attempt to airbrush my Dark Eldar army. I can't believe I have been without one this long after seeing what it can do, the shading you can achieve on models is quite impressive.

Test run on an Eldar wave serpent:

And an overall look at the entire Yme-Loc Army
