I don't really like the speeder as a model or to put together, so I kit bashed a jetbike/speeder.

C&C always welcome. I'll be using a squad of three of these as my speeders.

Thanks.

Just looking for opinions.

I have the front wheel fairing I can place to give the model "more armor" and make it look more Armor 10 v. open bike.

It's like a model with no rack and all back.

There's no balance. ALL of the weight is concentrated behind the rider.

There's not even any hint of enough mass forward.
Even with 40k's ridiculous science, this doesn't look good.

Remove the Typhoon missiles and the Heavy Bolter, as right now, they just have the "hastily glued on anywhere" look. Try to place them somewhere more subtle, such as a couple of smaller missiles under the wings, or even recessed Storm Bolters like on Sammael's jetbike.

You might want to try using an attack bike model it just looks too small and one guy operating the land speeder and shooting both guns just doesn't feel right.

I think the bolter is fine and will look better with a basecoat, but as far as the missiles go, I agree with this statement

If you will not Serve on the battlefield, you will serve on the firing line

I agree it needs to be just a bit longer.

I didn't realize I would use the small fan that close to the front when I first imagined it.

I did just throw the missles on there as they are my Dreadnought arms and were already magnatized.

I do like the look of the lower faring and the position of the HB.

I need to find an alt for the missiles though. Better placement too.

Agreed on extending out the front. If you want to keep the intake as-is and unobstructed, then you might be able to extend the front by adding maneuvering vanes like a Star Wars speeder bike or something to that effect.

With the missile launcher though, you definitely need either another one balancing it or to replace it with something else altogether. I think the heavy bolter would look better if you added some more conspicuous mounting hardware to it, but on top of that think it might look even better than that if you had it under-slung beneath the front of the bike.

Ok. Few changes, but overall just a tad short. But I think I like the design. Need to shore up the missiles a bit.

Any other suggestions?

Randomly teleporting around Melbourne.

I like the idea of what you have done, but i agree with the need to extend the front. Also the heavy bolter just looks wrong up there. Try an underslung HB, like an assault cannon is on a regular speeder. Brillient job though.

Major updates. Here are all three "Typhoon" jetbikes:

So I'm running these in between my Dakka Preds for some much needed gun support for the Termies.

I think they are looking good so far, but I'm sorry to say I do agree with previous posts that they feel back heavy and the fronts need lenthening or something to make them seem more viable.

I could be wrong tho, and it could be too many people growing up seeing these hehe

I'd put the missiles in the ex-front wheel space, like ork koptas do - the current wing mounts don't do it for me.
