Does your army or armies have any grudges against other armies that you play against or at least in fluff?

For example my Space Wolves have a rivarly with an old freinds Orks that I've worked into their fluff. At the same time The fluff of my Tau is that they fight the majority of their battles against the Dark Eldar as the planet they inhabit was once a DE base of opperations for slave raids before the Tau came.

In fluff my army (and sept) has great hate regarding Kroot.

On the gaming table, it bears grudges against the local Mech IG and any flavour of Vulkan rerollable melta Marines.

Also, one Wolves player has a scout that looks like a certain Necron and Ork playing friend of mine. I always make sure that's the priority target over what the mission wants.

Sure Space Wolves Land Raider Pilot

The Iron Dragoons (my SM Chapter) is in the middle of their 30 Day War (and counting!) against the foul forces of FLUFFY-BUNNY (the stupid cat next door) and it's FLUFFY FIGHTERS (the cat's kittens, their are 6 of them). THEY, the bloody monsters are responsible for the death of beloved battle-brother Sir Ver, Blessed with dreadnought armor in 01-18-11 (about a month ago). His armor served as poor protection against the FLUFFY FIGHTERS' rendering attacks (they clawed and chewed him into a little pile of trash, one kitten died from choking on a bit of plastic so there are only 5 kittens to deal with, O and the mom too)!

One of the big appeals with my Orks is playing as the slavering barbaric hordes in the typical scenario where elite heroes are holding off aforementioned barbarians. Except in my version, the heroes are dragged down and overwhelmed to die an ignoble death on some backwater, their armor to become a trophy for some mongrel warlord. The more GW plays up their heroic and at times Mary-Sue marines, the more I love tearing them down.

That, and in my early days with my Tau I kept getting whooped by the marines everyone played at my store with their shiny new codex. If you reject the greater good, you get swamped by the horde

Been an ork player for a few years and having grudges was easy (big meks Wazzbits and Wurrdakka were just assumed to hold grudges against everyone) but recently a friend of mine who has just gotten into the game, by way of the dark eldar, inspired me to start working on a DE army of my own. He has already been warned the his kabal, the deadly eclipse, is in the sights of my up and coming kabal of the obsidian eye. Thats not to say that the occasional alliance can't be struck during some of our team games Free slaves for everyone!... at least until i kill him and steal his share...

Awww Yeah!

My Ultramarines have a real world hate against tyranids.

A 1500 point battle pretty much consisted of intense rapid fire shooting then a bloody and gritty close combat for 2-3 turns in which 18 terminators and the captain died, the land raider was destroyed, mawlocs fell, everything was slaughtered in a big blood bath until 2 genestealers were left against a stern guard sergeant with power sword. He killed one and then the last killed him.

1 genestealer left between a company of space marines and a splinter fleet of tyranids.

My Eldar could never beat 2 armies in our local scene.

1st Place - Ork Speed Freekz

2nd Place - Necrons

Just could never get my lists to beat these guys at only 1750pts... I blame the broken fluff/codex...

Gaming grudges?

Yes, space wolves. Link in my bio.

They suck. Big time. Every space wolf fan is a delusional heretic, and the injustice of the fact that the entirety of Fenris wasn't long ago subjected to Exterminatus is one in a long line of the failures of the Imperium.

My =I= just got a remit to investigate/purge heresy and witchcraft from the Grey Knights. Does that count?

(Pragmatically I'm just fluff-justifying why my loyalist IG would suddenly be fighting so many GKs)

EDIT: Never mind, apparently the Wardex exempted the Grey Knights from Inquisitional oversight because that *TOTALLY* makes sense and doesn't contradict 20 years of fluff at all or anything...

I play a custom BA chapter and my friend plays SW. We call our battles "misunderstandings" since the banners for my army say things like Blood and Hate the SW though we were a chaos marine chapter and attacked. Oops...

Just on general principle, I dearly love squashing any sort of Imperial list.

Aside from that, I have a friend who has an entirely unreasonable fear/hatred of my scarab swarms for the bad things they've done to his tau in the past.

As a Daemon and CSM player, I hate playing ANY marine based codex, bar Black Templar. Them I love

Also yeah I love ripping the loyal soldiers of the Imperium a new one, but not as much as playing Orkz/ Necrons. Those are hilarious armies

I'm not really fond of orks as a player but I'm surrounded by ork lovers so I can't really avoid confrontation. Instead of rolling my eyes and face palming at each mention of "WAAAAAGH!", I keep reminding myself of the martyred sisters of Armageddon and the Order's vows of vengeance against the filthy xeno fungi. If you don't like 'em, you can always hate 'em more.

Fortunately, Orks burns very well and hatred is in infinite supply.

My Space Marines have a personal grudge against Eldar, in fluff and in reality.

In fluff my chapter travels around on small moons with massive warp engines stuck on them. Each company has its own moon except the scout company which divides itself amongst the others. A nearby Eldar craftworld was just destroyed and the survivors needed a new home, so while one of my companies was orbiting a nearby planet picking up my chapter's new recruits, they attacked and wiped out the entire company along with all of the recent recruits. Enraged, the rest of the companies surrounded the moon and bombarded it for almost thirteen years... they really hate Eldar.

In actual game play I have many times been compelely wiped from the table by the Eldar whilst they had hardly a scratch. In fact I've lost more to the Eldar than any other army, by my count well over a company of marines

ive been known to be a tyranid hunter with both my space marines and eldar. However my eldar have the longer history of the two. Back when the eldar codex first came out i was playing my friends Nid'zilla army with massed fex's, tyrants, zopes, and stealers. I countered that with a wraithlord and 6 war walkers with starcannons, pathfinders, harlies and seer council with starcannon serpents. it may have been spam, but massed guided st 6 ap 2 weapons turned him to dust.
