Anything by Blanche.
Love this piece below:
My favourite quotation comes from this piece of colour text from one of the old rulebooks, it goes something like this:
"Only a madman knows no fear. A warrior knows fear, he understands it, he feels it in his heart. What makes a warrior different is that he does not give into fear, but conquers it, time and time again, until the process becomes instinctual. But remember that there are things in the universe that even you cannot face, things so terrible to behold [...] Remember in these moments that you serve the Emperor best alive, and not sacrificed upon the altar of vain glory."
That is totally random except for some reason it jumps into my mind when I see the below picture, I think they were next to each other in the book or something.

Theres a picture in the New 'Nids Codex that shows Ultramarines V.S Nids at the Battle Of Macargge. Even if its only a black and white Picture, it is still a great piece of 40k art.
I think a Runner up would be the Nid's cover art from the Previous Codex.

I'm no good with computers so wont try too get the image but the picture of what I believe is a night lord champion standing on the body of a fallen loyalist astartes at the front of the csm codex next too the text titled "Let the galaxy burn" along with writing really inspires rebellion.

Either the old blanche box cover to Epic- BA v Orks or the guardsman (jamul lucky aces) from the old guard codex
Although saying that, I have the dark angels standard tattooed on my back, so probably that!

There was a fantastic illustration, I think it was in the 2E rulebook, that showed the chapter banners of the blood angels, space wolves and the ultramarines. I can't find it but it was brilliant piece of artwork.

I like this. Infact I really like most 40k artwork, the 'uniqueness' and gothic theme of it feels fresh amongst most other sci-fi universes ATM.

Yeah. It really sets it apart. It can get too overdone though. I like the stuff that is more functional gothic. Kind of like the art in Dead Space. Where you can see the elements there, but it's still got a sci-fi feel to it.

High-heels are the lamest fantasy cliché ever. Artists should feel bad for tacking them on each single female character they're drawing and all of you should feel bad for supporting this.
I know there's people around here who doesn't like the breastplate, but metal boobs are only a matter aesthetics as opposed to high-heels who also directly influence the pose of the character. High-heels tend to give a sensual pose to characters and this is completely out-of-character for a sister of battle. Blanche's artwork gives the false impression that sisters are long legged dominatrix but I'm glad neither the models or other official artworks ever gives this impression.
Dark Heresy features the best SoB artworks.

Love that pic.
It's better than A Thousand Sons. Fantastic ending that totally caught me off guard. It's not just a retelling of the story either. The battle for Prospero goes largely undiscussed.
