++ Heed my words for I am the Herald and we are the footsteps of doom. Interlopers, do we name you. Defilers of our
sacred earth. We have awoken to your primative species and will not tolerate your presence. Ours is the way of logic,
of cold hard reason: your irrationality, your human disease has no place in the necrontyr. Flesh is weak.
Surrender to the machine incarnate. Surrender and die. ++

I wonder if the person who drew that watched Neon Genesis Evangelion? It reminds me a lot of the angel Sachiel from that show.

While that is the best Tau art I've ever seen, in the first one he's missing his backpack (and is bonding knife katana based? Handle.)
In the second they have human feet. Want to see more though

Tough one.
As a quick answer I'd have to go with most things by Paul Dainton, although as others have illustrated (sorry) so far in this thread there's some great fan art out there too

PG 4 of the blood angels book, would have made a better front cover in colour. Still an awesome piece of art work, can't find any good pics though.

Pretty tall order, but I am pretty fond of the art in the daemonhunters/ GK codices. However, I am pretty fond of a lot of the 40k art in general. I own several codices for just the art in them
