Needless to say, there are a good deal of different IG army schemes out there, but not a good deal of models. I'm not talking about hte Mordians, who I'm pretty sure don't have models any more, or the Vostroyans, who as far as Im concerned can only be played if you've infinite money. I'm talking about Kanaks, Savlar Chem dogs, etc. that don't have armies.

Which IG "armies" do you think need models the most? do you think they should get special weapons, Characters, etc?

Praetorians are popular but luckily there are lots of non-GW models available.

Actually if you look at 20th C/modern/SF models there are various ranges available that cover all the official GW regiments.

From that viewpoint there is no need for any new IG models from GW.

Savlar are a cool concept, i also like the short blurb about Harakoni warhawks.

I'd rather see them release a Cadian veteran box (with shotguns, specials, alternate heads, cloaks, carapace, etc.), a cadian rough rider box, and even penal legionnaires first.

Yes but then GW would not be able to push different colored codex's for each. Such as black, blue and red marines. You watch I bet they do it.

If GW is going to do any new plastic units, I'd like to see it be plastic Steel Legion. That said, I'd prefer if they just dumped the horrific looking and awful fluff'd Catachans (I don't think I've ever seen anyone use Catachans as anything but Plague Zombies for Apoc games, certainly never an army of them or actually seen someone buy a box off a shelf), filled out the Cadians more (and maybe resculpted the heads and faces, either give us masked heads like the Kasrkin/FW respirators, or make them look like something other than as if they are halfway through taking the most painful dump of their lives and can't squeeze the last half out) and left any future lines to Forgeworld.

yea, I do think those rough riders need an update in the worst sense. Also, Penal legionaires would be pretty good; it also wouldn't be all that difficult to make them into Savlar's either.

As for the Female IG, it's astounding GW (or even Forgeworld!) hasn't made models for them in some form.

Tallarns! If I wanted to play Tallarn IG at this point, it would cost me an arm and a leg.

Agreed, unless your wearing custom molded armor that is supposed to be skin tight. Given the cheap mass produced flak armor the IG wears (much like I've been given over the years) everyone looks pretty much the damn same, especially with helmets on. That was actually one of the reasons certain branches of the US Armed Forces stopped allowing females to shave their heads, it was to hard to tell the sexes apart from a distance.

I'd love to see some new Tanith models, but don't think it will happen. Hell I'd be happy if FW took it up even. Plastic (and useful) ST's would be amazing, but beyond that maybe just some Cadian Vet sprues, would do so much for conversions.

Steel Legion would be pretty cool, they really need a meltagun.

This is exactly my thoughts on the matter.

Having a single, complete range to work from should be the objective--not several partial ranges.

Pyran Dragoons look pretty cool, as do Semtexian Bombardiers.





I would also like to see Athonian Tunnel-rats and Kaledon Hunters.

I'd like them to be slightly smaller than the males with a slight shaping of the waist, but generally to just be like the males. A very subtle difference is all I think is required.

There's no "lack of Tanith". When Gaunt was produced, he came in a boxed set with 9 other Tanith including Brin Milo, Dorden, Larkin, and Corbec.

I'd settle for GW making models for the whole codex. seriously, the one reason that Vendettas are so big is because no-one can be bothered moding up a hydra or ordering from FW. that and having all the artilery options would be nice, i meen jeez they actualy re-did the basilisk set so why didnt they put in parts for all of the guns?

other than that though cadians dont realy NEED anything, while plastic kasrkin, vet conversion pack, grav shutes, gas-masks, rough riders and plastic ogryns would be nice, I'd rather see them make the "collectors" ranges in plastic and/or make kriegies in plastic just cus they are WW1 nuclear apocalypse cool.

oh, two uses for catachans; 1) steal some of the cool bits from the comand sprue, 2) they make great penal legionaries ..... oh and some of the heads are good for modding vets.

all 4 of my vendetta back seaters have catachan heads. the pilots have bloodclaw heads.

maybe, just maybe, a new tank shape. surely someone makes a different hull for the Imperium to use. LR are so fing ugly.

I actually just picked up a pack of Gaunt and some ghosts in a store recently.

Cadian rough riders are in the works, but most people put them on bikes or something anyways.

I would like to see Steel Legion actually. Those were the models that made me want to start playing, but I stuck with the cadians instead.

Well...that's kinda true

Steel Legion were what many people used to make Death Korps before the models came out.

As for their popularity...I don't know why Steel Legion is popular either. It puzzles me to no end.

Elysians really need some good, new stuff.

Elysians and Death Korps really only need what Cadians need.
