Just for Frazz, as I know he's looking forwards to this.
I like the "..gates of hell" line from Mr. Lee.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all

Both Thor and Capt America look pretty damn good to me! Definitely gonna go watch them both.
Another mission, the powers have called me away. Another chance to carry the colours again. My motivation, an oath I've sworn to defend. To win the honour of coming back home again.
I don't really care for the way this one looks, honestly. It almost looks like they are trying too hard to make him awesome, unlike Iron Man/Hulk where they focused more on the person behind the mask.
I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.

Well it is blocked at work, but I will do some twitching this evening. Look at it this way, you have these to look forward too:
The Thing
Super 8
Cowboys and Aliens
Conan the Barbarian
The Thing - A remake of a remake hardly. The one the only was made in black and white.
Super 8 -YESSS!
Cowboys and Aliens - it sounds stupid but it has Bond and Harrison Ford, so suspending judgment. Could be a sleeper hit for me.
Conan the Barbarian-only ifg I hear excellent reviews. When Did an ancient Brit become Samoan. more importantly I highly doubt it had the Teutonic undertones that made the original a hitter way above its weight class.
Also potentially
District 10.
Water for Elephants
Hop (ok thats a GC pic but she's really excited)
Hanna
Priest-YESSS!
Contagion
11-11-11
Immortals
Hugo Cabret
Rise of the Apes
28 Months Later
Bourne 4
Brave New World
Promethues - YESSS! (Ridley Scott Alien Prequel)

Well I am crossing my fingers for The Thing. Supposedly this one is about the Norwegians and leads right into Carpenter's film. So it should end with the dog and the helicpoter.
Don't get too excited about Promethues. Supposedly it is going to be unrelated to the Alien Movies. :(
28 Months Later (if they ever officially start it, it will be cool)
District 10, (still waiting on the official word)
Hanna (looks great. The wife really wants to see it. Hopefully Saoirse Ronan gets some payback for that horrible movie "The Lovely Bones".
I am iffy about Rise of the Apes, but it has some potential.
Bourne 4 (A little worried about this one. Matt Damon said that he would not do another Bourne film without Paul Greengrass. Paul announced in late November that he had decided not to return as director)
Ayah you are correct. I am just listing films potentially. Some might not even be made.
28 months. Just for something different.
Prometheus. Evidently its about the space jockey's civilization. Should be good methinks.
Rise of Apes, Bourne 4 look like potentials - we'll see.
But I am hopeful for 2011.

I am telling you, you might be disappointed by Prometheus. I am trying to remain hopeful, but I don't think it is going to be a prequel.
On January 14, 2011, an interview with Scott referred to the film as having evolved into its own 'grand mythology and universe', and had been renamed Prometheus, with a release date of March 9, 2012 with Noomi Rapace starring as one of five main characters in the film. Scott acknowledged the film's roots in the original film, noting it as being a 'jumping-off point', leaving the film's function as a film set in the Alien universe or an entirely stand-alone film ambiguous.[38] On February 11, 2011 it was reported that Charlize Theron was cast in the film.
Speaking to MTV on February 12, 2011, Fassbender stated the film was still an Alien prequel, saying, "Prometheus is absolutely connected to Alien... There's a definite connecting vein."
The keen fan will recognize strands of 'Alien's' DNA, so to speak, but the ideas tackled in this film are unique, large and provocative. I couldn't be more pleased to have found the singular tale I'd been searching for, and finally return to this genre that's so close to my heart."
However it does have Geiger doing a lot of the designs and a $250,000,000 budget. So I am crossing my fingers...

Exactly. It has many of the key elements. Ridley Scott, big budget, Geiger, and some vein of the original movie strands in it. I'm not looking for an alien film if thats the concern, far from it.

That is probably the best way to view the upcoming film. I have to just get it in my head, who's making it and how much money he has. If it isn't a prequel then fine. It will be in space. It will have some sort of Alien. That is probably good enough now that I think about it.

I figure with Scott's films about one in three are awesome (I think I also confuse some of his brother's movies too but hey I'm older than dirt what do you expect?). He's due for a hit. With that scale of budget he won't be allowed to piss it away like other films he has done. Plus - Geiger...cool (I keep thinking he's been dead for decades).

Scott was really the only film maker that treated Geiger right. I doubt he would sign on for any other movie unless Scott was at the helm. Have you ever watched any interviews of the guy? He seems like a really nice guy and all the perverted stuff is like a little inside joke for him. He laughs at the stuff like a 12 year old. I find it hilarious and laugh the same way at his little jokes...
Only one for just a few minutes but it was right after alien.

So, all this hype about an Avengers movie over the past few years and the next few years is built on movies like this, Hulk and Iron man so far?
When the Avengers do come out, if Transformers V is playing at the same time, I would rather see 'splosions and a crap love storyline with some robots thrown in occasionally.
Ayn Rand "We can evade reality, but we cannot evade the consequences of evading reality"
Chris Evans' head on that skinny body looks weird. I'd have gone for a different, similar looking actor for weedy Steve Rogers.
Sadly, I am not overly excited by this trailer. I think it will left to Whedon to pull the Avengers films out of medocrity. Anything at the same quality of Serenity and he's onto a winner.
I'm just happy because they are gonna be shooting the Avengers movie in my home town. I also watched them film parts of spider-man 3 here. Sure the movie blew chunks, but it was cool seeing it get filmed.

So his power is being as fit as people selling crappy workout dvd's on late night tv? Watch, that strong dude has a metal disc, he can probably throw it pretty hard!

You got me! I did a search on this forum for Captain America, but you did the ultra-ninja move and used the subtitle. Well played.
And @Frazz, that's just more fun for the rest of us, captain negative! 28 months indeed. That would be a waste of film just like the previous two disasters.

Sorry dude but the Capt is better than a P09x video instructor.
Depending on the writer he either is the pinacle of human physiology and all his neurons are firing on all cylinders or he is slightly above human potential. He also may have pain resistance and a healing factor (though not on Wolverine levels).
Remember that The Abomination in The Incredible Hulk was another attempt using the formula and he wasn't what I would call within human parameters even before the transformation.
Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.
