So June 10th International and June 14th in North America? That isn't bad. School lets out that week, so I am still happy. If it was (EDIT - Nothing to see here Gearbox Software. Move Along.)

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

"You need not fear us, unless you are a dark heart, a vile one who preys on the innocent; I promise, you can’t hide forever in the empty darkness, for we will hunt you down like the animals you are, and pull you into the very bowels of hell." Iron - Within Temptation
I dont think they would have done this unless they were fairly confident of a June release. It might have been set for June from the start and claimed to be May for this stunt to work.
After all these guys are not responsible for the feth up regarding Duke Nukem's non arrival for the last decade and a half.
In game delay terms one month is nothing, you can get delays that long from physical production logistics and marketing not major sourcecode stuff. I think Duke is ready to play.
n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.
It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.
Heres what the CEO of Gearbox said to Eurogamer about the delay.
fter a 14 year wait, mythical shooter Duke Nuke Forever was finally set to hit shelves this May. Then this morning, via a cheeky video skit, new developer Gearbox announced yet another delay, pushing the game back to June.
A few wags cynically labeled the move as one final witty-but-cruel marketing push. Not so, says Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford – his team genuinely needs more time to add a final layer of polish to the game.
"No trick - we believed May when we announced it," Pitchford told Eurogamer.
"There is always uncertainty and we use experience and trends to help us be predictive. We are not perfect when it comes to predicting uncertain outcomes, but we are perfect at being committed to our goals and working relentlessly towards them.
"I think we may have been able to force May, but we think that would've introduced risks that would not have served gamers who have waited as long as we have to finally play Duke Nukem Forever."
He went on to hail the patience of Duke fans, promising that the delay was in their best interest.
"We are driven by fans who are as anxious for the game to finally be released as we are," he insisted. "The continued support of our fans does miracles for our morale and that drives quality and performance. It's for the fans that I am confident this slight schedule adjustment is the right thing to do.
"Thank you to Eurogamer and its readers for supporting Gearbox in this time of need while we work hard towards Duke's triumphant return."
Duke Nukem Forever now launches on 10th June for PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360.
