Could I create a private forum for just about anything? Would only other DCMs be able to see the private forum or would everyone be able to see it?

You can't create a forum, only a thread in the dcm section and even then you can't just post anything.

DCM's get access to the DCM forum but CANNOT make their own forums.

Also, dakka rules still apply in said DCM fourm and if people don't like what you say you will just be ignored off the front page.

We are allowed to swear, however it does not really occur that much, as we can all communicate our opinions without using potty-words, for the most part.

We are not even allowed to discuss people who are not DCM's - as they cannot reply, so it would be unfair.

However, I must state this - It's the best $25 bucks you'll ever spend. Some of the discounts/deals from some of the suppliers(Who offer special DCM discounts) mean if you normally spend about $200 PER YEAR on Gaming stuff, the savings alone more than cover your membership fee!!!

And we won't even discuss the NSFW thread. You'll just have to join up and see!

You can swear? Hell, that's incentive enough for me.

As has been said, DCMs have access to a private forum where they can discuss pretty much any topic. In general, most of the rules for posting are relaxed in the DCM forum, so it tends to be a more wacky forum...kind of like the off-topic forum, but with less angry locked threads about religion and politics.

Swearing is allowed in the DCM forum, but it is unfeasible to disable the swear filter in particular forums, so it is still in effect. That just means you have to be a little creative in the DCM forum to get your swearing around the filter.


And just to be clear: you are not 'buying' anything when becoming a DCM. You are donating towards the operation of the site and as a thanks we give you a couple of perks. But if you're going into it looking to get something for your donation then you're probably going to be disappointed.
