Dragons, man. DRAGONS.

Hey guys, wasn't sure where to put this, so whatever. Anyway, I love Wh40k, but I'm always, tight on cash and time, so I don't, rather can't, play table-top itself. I was just wondering if anybody else is the same way?

I haven't been playing/collecting table-top games since gr.9.

I used to play, but alot of my friends either quit or moved away. So I just spend time on Dakka talking to people who share the same interests as me, and because I like my PeeCee as the locals call it.

I did just get a 500pts game of Warmaster in though. That was.... different. I went into it with the mindset of "this is going to be terrible" and so I need to play another game at least before I make up my mind.

I had quit war-gaming before I was even became a member on DakkaDakka I joined because I love the settings Games-Workshop has created for it's games, the people on DakkaDakka are great and this site has a

really good"off-topic" zone.

Does it really?! I hadn't noticed.

Kidding aside, I just got back into the hobby myself after maybe 6 years. I'm still building a new army from basically the ground up, so I'm not anywhere close to being able to play a game right now.

I haven't played in years but have been coming to Dakka (in one form or another) for so long it is habit, plus the community is generally quite good by internet standards. I still love the setting and would love to play the RPG more than the wargames these days most likely. It doesn't help that every time I think of getting back into the hobby I look at the prices and pass out.

Do you really mean that Cheesecat? You like me?

I play the table top, but the local gaming store that ran games closed. However another store just became partners with GW so the opportunity to play games shot back up. Unfortunately my brother was the biggest source of my games and he's out of city for school.

Of course I do, even if you're leader of MAFIA and oppose everything DOOMFART stands for you will always be my internet buddy.

I don't really play much any more, haven't done much since going to Uni nearly 8 years ago. I play the occasional card or board game. I do a reasonable amount of modelling though, but I'm very busy right now, I haven't picked up a brush since christmas.

I rarely venture any of the other sub forums besides the "Off-Topic" one, it's so good that it takes up most of my time on the web.

I wanna go back to New Jersey

I take *ahem* "forced breaks" from 40k and the hobby aspect whenever my grades begin to tank. But, with seeing nothing but a sea of Chimeras, Vendettas, and whatever other fromage flavoured trife Cruddace and Ward pooped into the game, I have considered quiting until Tau get revamp or until I see Kroot become less glorified. Whichever comes first.

I'll be forced to take a hiatus, as everyone in my gamer group (Not kidding, all 6 of them) exept me has gone out and bought one of these:

It's the new Dreadnight, silly! My entire gamer group now solely plays DH, CSM, 'Nids, and BA. With me, being the only person not to succumb to pre-order to the baby carrier, I am currently out of fighting juice, so I'm gonna sit back and paint Orks until the group realizes how stupid that thing is.

Honestly, The way that thing is situated in that picture, it reminds me of Waldo from Playstation Micro Maniacs.

I want one of those. I've been IG since Gaunt was in the codex, but that model lookslike it would be fun to make and paint.

I have been so tied up in other things lately, I haven't truly played in awhile. However, I plan to start again once I get things in order, which should hopefully be sometime before summer.

Also, I like the GK, but that model does not appeal to me at all, I'll stick with the regular Dreadnought TYVM, its awesome.

Also, why are you taking a hiatus again Chowderhead? Do you simply not want to have to look at that thing across the table every game?

It has been noticed.

What a bunch of sorry excuses for 40k players! No time? COLLAGE?! MONEY!?!?!?!?!?!?!

SISSIES! ALL OF YOU! Get out there and play dammit! No Necrons?! Use twigs. Dont have the cash? Then get some elmers and glue some damn Q-tips together and get your kill on! I once played a game in my garage in the middle of a blizzard. It was -10 outside when we played. I had a space heater (that didnt heat anything but my energy bill) and a my grill with a fire going on it. It was fething COLD! Im talking, we would have to heat out hands up after rolling the dice, because they were literally colder then icecubes.

All it takes is dedication. Jeez, ya damn sissypanzies!
