This show is awesome. Awesome as in OMG THE PIGZ CAN HAZ BEEN KUT IN H4LF!!1!!!1!!
The fights at the end is always awesome, but they are running out of ideas.
Any comments about the show, or match-ups you would like to see?

The show isn't scientific in the least.

But it is fun to watch when bored.

I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.

The match up I want to see? Mythbusters vs. the show itself. It won't end well.

I though "IRA vs Taliban" fought out in a car park was both hilarious and in spectacularly poor taste.

Fortunately 'our' lads won.

The only one I've ever seen was Nazis vs Viet Cong. Awesomest. Matchup. Evar. With the exception of Ninjas vs Pirates, or Cookies vs Milk.

Now that the missus n' I have upgraded our basic cable to 'less basic but still basic enough to be basic' cable, I get Discovery and Spike again, so I can watch this show after the hockey season is over

It was on (the now defunct) Bravo in the UK. I bet Challenge will snap up season 3 as they nicked TNA off them too.

EDIT: Just seen season 3 will have a special "fantasy" episode of Vampires vs. Zombies with Steve Niles and Max Brooks in the respective corners.

In your base, ignoring your logic.

They did have a IRA vs Spetsnaz episode, IRA got crushed because they don't know how to move and fire a pistol like a Russian killing machine. Figure the odds.

Why haven't they done Pirates vs. Ninjas?

(or if they have, scold me)

I've only seen Pirates vs. Knights, and Ninjas vs. Spartans.

I think of it like this; Pirates beat Knights, Knights are like Spartans, Spartans beat Ninjas. So by proxy, Pirates beat Ninjas.

That is (almost exactly) word-for-word what I tell my friends when they defend ninjas.

I still wanna see the corny fight between the two though, except I have a strong feeling of the outcome *click click boom*

Spartan VS ninja was a terrible match-up, the ninja didnt stand a chance.

Watched a couple of clips on youtube, its strangely compelling viewing mainly due to some of the bizarre match ups and hammy fight scenes.

The fight scenes are really nicely shot. Epic, flashy and no shaky cam.

I thought Gladiator versus Native American was pretty stupid biased, as they failed to add in the factor that Gladiators do nothing but fight for their lives while Indian braves have lives outside of fighting. Kind of forgot to mention that their weapons and armor of Gladiators were designed to NOT be particularly deadly for easy killing power, hence prolonging the entertainment. Just a dumb idea for a matchup. Maybe if they had a Roman Legionairre, an actual soldier with effective weapons, it wouldn't have become such a 'native american is superior oot oot woot' cultural pat-on-the-head bias as that episode seemed so full of.

Ninjas vs Pirates hasn't happened yet. But they did do Pirate vs Knight. That was a cool one. I liked the Spartan one. Spartans are bad mamajamas.

I want to see Mythbusters versus their forums.

I was more angry that they focused on only one type of gladiator. They were ususally split into four(IIRC) different types of gladiators. I think they used the myrmidon.

I personally thought they should of pared the maori warrior against the apache. They both had similar weapons and styles of fighting. I think the Moaris pairing against the monk was a bit weird.
