On a popular website I go to, Bungie.net, someone created a third party script for Greasemonkey. It works for Firefox and Google Chrome. It lets people who use the script have custom profile information that isn't supposed to be on the site, but appears for the user, as well as others who use the script. It lets the users have their own custom avatars that can be pretty much anything as well as custom usernames, custom text, and more. Someone should make a script like that for here, it's completely off-site and so there's nothing the moderators could do about it. So, who wants to make a script so we can have our own custom coups here?

I may be misunderstanding what exactly it is you want to do then. Does this thing just change how you see the forum? If so, I don't see why it would bother the staff at all, and I'm a bit confused as to why you brought that up at all.

Because he's trying to get people to "join him in a coup", using a script that allows people utilizing it to post whatever they want on this forum even if it's in violation of the forum rules.

I admit, I'm not exactly sure what it is you're talking about, but I'll be sure to let Lego know.

He's pretty smart, and if it is some sort of foolish nuisance thing, I'd bet he can stop it from happening.

And, in the process, most likely permanently ban anyone attempting to so anything even slightly malicious to the site.

All it does is change how the forum is displayed in his browser, and the browser of anyone else who has the same app installed.

So pretty pointless, really. You might as well save yourself the bother of installing it, and just write your 'amusing' profile information on a post-it note and stick it to the side of your monitor. Then you could see it on every website you visit!

I'm agreeing with Insaniak here, that method is much more efficient and has zero chance of violating any rules on any web site.
