Well mates, a hardboyz fantasy tournament has been announced and for this tournamnet, I decided to mix things up a little bit and let you guys decided on what army list I should run . Now as it says above, I have the choice in either running my already tested and proven Empire army or my newly aquired Ogre Kingdoms who I have only played a couple of games with so far. Now my Empire army I'm planning to run has already proven itself to be very effective, for it placed first in the 2,800 point tournament we had a few months ago, and I would be keeping it pretty much the same with a few tweaks and the list can be found here: (http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/358557.page#2638205), while my Ogre Kingdoms list has only been played a few times however, has been surprisingly effective against most armies I've come across (except Deamons ), and the list can be found here: (http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/355570.page). So I'm leaving this up to you so tell me, which one should I run and why and may the best choice win .

For pure cool factor I'd say Ogre Kingdoms. You'd probably want to run as many Deathstar units as possible to weather the inevitable masses of artillery and big gribblies.

If you want to win easier, however, I'd say go with Empire.

"I have concluded through careful empirical analysis and much thought that somebody is looking out for me, keeping track of what I think about things, forgiving me when I do less than I ought, giving me strength to shoot for more than I think I am capable of. I believe they know everything that I do and think, and they still love me. And I’ve concluded, after careful consideration, that this person keeping score is me." -Adam Savage

you could fit in 2 units of 25 ogre bulls with Ironfists and STILL have 1k for heros and Lords.

For the 1st Round, I would run OK as scenario#1 and #3 aren't looking too good for warmachines and Empire. If you make it t6o round 2, then Empire sounds good=)

Wow I accidentally voted Empire, but do Ogres. They're way cooler, and not enough people play as them. If you do choose Shrek's cousins, make sure to give them a bunch of Manchu staches!

BTW, Shrek's Cousins would make an awesome regiment name. Feel free to use it as long as I can too if I ever do Ogres.

After playing against your Empire army on numerous occasions I will say what a few players have already mentioned on here:

-If you want to play for fun, change things up and add some variety type of list I would run Ogres.

-However since you are the only Empire player in the store (that we know is playing) I would suggest that if you would want to win (since your list is a total pain in my @$$) you should run your Empire.

I personally find empire to be your best choice as you have more choice of units and equipment. they may be less powerful than OKs, but the handgunners can be devastating when used correctly.

If you run OK, what core unit would you give the Bloody Choppa?

If I run my Ogres, I'm going to be giving my Ogre Bull horde the Bloody Choppa to make them all S5 and gives them all +1 attack, meaning that these guys will be hitting units with:

*4x S7 and 2x S8 Impact hits (w/my BSB and Tyrant in the front rank).

*70x S5, -3 armor piercing attacks with my Standard Bulls alone, w/my Tyrant getting 6x S5, -3 armor piercing attacks and my BSB getting 5x S5, -3 armor piercing attack, giving me a total of 81x S5 attacks w/my Ogre Bull horde!!!!

*Finally, I will get 6x Stomp attacks, 4x at S5 and 2x at S6, so if you look at it, this unit will have a total of 92 ATTACKS ON THE CHARGE!!!!!

200 gnobbos is hilarious!

GK that is off the hook. Yep any characters in the unit get +1 too. Would their mounts?

Too bad that most people dont run calvary any more due to ineffectiveness, so I guess it's something a lot of people will have to worry about mate .

So that means something like the a grey seer on the screaming bell would benefit. The seer, the bell (st7 impact hits!), the ogre (that rings the bell) each has the bonus. Units of core cav will benefit hugely!
