This is about to come up in a game of Dark heresy I'm playing in, and I'm just wondering what would happen? Personally my thoughts run towards horrible, painful death. She's a powerful Bio-mancer though, so... I don't know. Thoughts?

She'd grow a beard then explode in testosterone.

Is she a powerful enough biomancer to make herself male? Space marine creation techniques only work on men. At best it would simply do nothing. At worst she'd die a horrible death, or possibly become a wulfen. Leman Russ said something to the effect of "all those who were unworthy of becoming a Space Wolf would become a Wulfen after they drank from the Cup". Depending on your interpretation, I'm sure Russ would have considered women unworthy. Of course if you're the GM you should do what you want, and you want a girl marine running around howling at the moon, go for it.

All I can say that the end result would be very scary and left to the imagination of others

I'm not the gm, and i think she's actually powerful enough to channel the wulfen and become an actual werewolf... at will. that shoots lightning.

She'd be put through the test, found out she was a wulfen and given some extra credit work out on fenris...

Realize that, only in DH could a female character become worthy to drink of the Cup of Russ. it's not consistant with the fluff as the Cup is a sacred relic that only battle brothers would drink of.

God i wish my GM would realize that... they bent some fairly major rules in letting my character in... but, well, he fit all the requirements bar his home planet. which he doesn't even know, so they're just saying he was kidnapped at an early age or something. because only a warrior of Fenris could outfight a full battlebrother, and without any enhancements. He had Ragnar blackmane sponsor him, several high ranking rune priests, Ragnar's wolf guard, and others. he bloody well proved his worth. she blew stuff up with psyker abilities. :/ ahh but i digress. thanks for the info guys. I just hope my gm realizes what's supposed to happen.

If you're not from Fenris, it does nothing at all since you don't have their broken DNA.

The first thing I came to think of wasn't what the drink would do but how the Space Wolves would react upon seeing a female outsider hefting the cup... Which is presumably stored somewhere safe that only some very few can reach it? Or does it stand on the table in front of Leman's chair on Fenris?

Although seeing how they admire insane bravado they're probably likely to let her go in exchange for a good speech. Or at least showing off her chest hairs while posing dramatically.

I'd add (for psykers) on a 6 she turns into a chaos spawn as her psychic ability is unable to be restrained and she attacks everyone in the room with her.

I was under the impression that it was tradition, not DNA that kept non-fenrisians from becoming space wolves. I know the space wolf DNA is massivly different from the rest of the Astartes, but the basic human fenrisians? where does it say that their dna is that much different?
