Managed to get my grubby hands on a Space Hulk Terminator Librarian (My 6 year old daughter asks why he's a Librarian so i point out the book on top She then asks why he has an axe? I tell her its used on the kids whose books are overdue. Bad Daddy!)

So anyways I've got him about tabletop ready. Still need to get the face and back of the book done and drill out the SB barrels among other touchups.

Lovin' the Ork!

The libby is impeccably clean and well done!

Nice job on the purple. I used to have some purple skeletons and chaos marines - it is one of my favorite colors to paint.

Lib looks good but not sure bout the colours. The purple looks great but the red and blue are kind of clashy. I've been trying to think of colours that wouldn't clash as much, maybe yellow instead of the red and maybe dark green for the blue. Dunno more than likely just me! :-) but like I said, looks good! :-)

I just have to say that Ork really makes me smile.

The purple looks great, and I like the pink trim on the edges.

Thanks all. Fun with Tau Gun Drones. Tear off the antenae, stick a blob of squig-hair in its place, grab ahold and let the drone zip you into battle.

The Libbys base was especially fun. I had to cut the Libby off the base and work them as seperate parts. Carded up the openings then glued that to the diamond deck. Primed and painted each part. Once both models were complete I scraped the primer off the bottom of the Libbys feet and a bit of the paint from the area of the base he was standing and glued it back together with plastic cement.
I painted the gun with blue trim since all my guns are that way. The Axe blade is actually a metal flake blended over Ice Blue...looks alot better in person...more electric.

Very striking work on the Hawk Lords. Might you consider going a different direction on the Imperial Eagle on the chest? The red get's kinda lost in the reddish/purple. Perhaps if you highlighted it up the chain to orange or pink it would stand out appropriately.

Nice work though.... no matter what.

My only suggestion would be to add a pin wash to break up the uni-shade of purple that is going on. Other than that, very clean.

Hawk lords are supposed to have yellow as a secondary color aren't they? It contrasts well with the purple.

Their secondary color is gold, which really pops on a purple base. More is less in this scheme though (IMHO). I usually restrict the gold to shoulderpad edging, the edges of the air ducting on the backpacks, and the ornamental details on armor.
Redfinger: Nice idea on the pin-washing. I'll run that on a teat model and see how it works. I appreciate these suggestions...my paint-fu has really improved over the past few months.

Another Ork I was messing with long ago (since so many liked the other one).
