Hello everyone, long time no see, and that`s my fault..

For those who doesn`t remember me, here`s my last blog of notice (not on this forum, I think):
http://www.chaos-dwarfs.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=7099&page=1

A friend of mine, and one of the most active members of our gaming group has been very kind and giving me all of his Eldar figs for my next 40K army (Dark Eldar) so I thought I`d make some Chaos Dwarf count-as-figs as reinforcements for his WoC army in progress. I will make some for myself eventually, but first things first

Here`s the early WiP of the Bull Centaur unit (Chaos Knights w/full cdo):

Savage Orc Boar boys as the base minis, like these a lot more than my BB BCs!

And here`s the early WiP of the Hellcannon:

A new way of making Chaos Dwarfs, Storm Vermin body, some random boots and goblin heads with a pin. The Hell Cannon inspired from that rear shooting thingie.

Next up will be a whole host of stuff:
- PiP: Skeleton unit w/full cdo, Wight King BsB, Vampire riding Winged Nightmare, Cairn Wraiths, Spirit Host
- WiP: Corpse Cart, Varghulf, Skaven BB team and more Bull Centaurs and Hell Cannon.

Good times

Here`s what I`m working on at the moment,

WiP, Crypt Ghouls themed as swordsmen. These will be heavily converted! The unit fillers will feature some jumping ones.

PiP, Another Necromancer/Warrior Priest and the Varghulf. The Varghulf is based off the new minotaurs. He`s a Bully Noble gone real bad!

FiN#1, Spirit Host. I used those excellent new skellies for this as I wanted them in the army but they don`t fit my rank and file style.

(sorry for the blurry pic!)

FiN#2, Cairn Wraiths w/Tomb Banshee aka flagellants. Simple flagellant, zombie arms, skeleton head (daemonette for the Banshee) conversions but it works.

WiP time!

Black Knights w/full command:

Simple arms and head swaps but this unit will get a different paintjob than the others. Namely the Order of the Sacred Scythe:

Necromancer on Corpse Cart:

Very early WiP but worthy of a pic.

Vampire Lord on Abyssal Terror:

Very old mini that I got from a friend in a trade-off. Haven`t really started on it yet but I won`t be messing to hard with this fig as I think it still holds up quite well!

Zombie Horde#2

As my first zombie horde was themed as a shooty detachment to the skeleton regiment my second zombie horde will be themed as a catapult w/crew. And yes that catapult is a unit filler! The setting on this base will be "Corpse Launcher on graveyard for easy access to ammo".

Update!

Black Knights:

I intended to paint them up as the Sacred Scythe order as it`s affiliated with Stirland but I didn`t go there in case I make som Blood Knights eventually.

Skeleton Regiment:

Ended up quite nice, the free space in the front rank is for the Wight King BsB.

Vampire on Hellsteed:

Fun conversion, decent paintjob.

Army pic so far:

That`s 1412 points

Oh and here`s the unit I`m working on now:

The Ghouls aka Militia Swordsmen, or zombie stage Z or something, lol!

PS: hmm some really crappy pics but hope you see that the paintjobs aren`t that bad.

Northern Wastelands

I just had to take some better pics of all of my finished units and write some more on each. Remember that the entire army is based on resembling a Stirland force, from afar at least.

HEROES:
Vampire on Hellsteed - Noble hero on flying mount

Very fun conversion this. I tried to paint the hellsteed as if it was more solid than the ethereals or the blue eyes on the minis. From the side you can see the Hand of Dust.

Necromancer - Warrior Priest

Wanted him to look more alive than dead, hence the bad complexion.

CORE:
Skeleton Regiment - Stirland State Troops

I threw in the PiP Wight King there just so you guys could get a feel for the overall look. I`m pleased at least.

Zombie Horde - Stirland State with Moot allies Archers/Crossbowmen/++

Fun unit, pity they`re so bad gamewise, lol!

SPECIAL:
Black Knights - Stirland Knight Order

Simple converisons but effective. Really like this unit gamewise!

Spirit Host - Warriors for Distant Past

I just had to include these minis as they`re ace! Oh and I had so much to spare after I`ve made the Black Knights.

RARE:
Cairn Wraiths - Flagellants

Didn`t go for enhanced chest area on the banshee, she`s only skin and bones so let it be at that..

ARMY PIC SO FAR:

Halfway!

Next unit in line.

Ghouls - Free Company

Just wanted to show what`s in store and it`s fangs and glory!

Hope this gives a better impression of my work so please leave some comments

talast,
Red
