Just wondering if you guys out there have and good team combos me and my friends play a lot of doubles and wanted to know what other peoples teams are that have
been succesfull

grey knights and space wolves
my reason is that both armys excel and mid range fighting with great counter attack capability
with prurifier/strike squads and grey hunters in rhinos with long fangs and psycannons i think
that they would make a very formitable army

Orks and Dark eldar.

The ultimate hammer and anvil. The speed of dark eldar with the ability to negate the enemies mobility, and the sheer numbers of the orks would be a potent combination.

I've had good experience with GK Draigowing and BA razorspam. Razorspam takes care of enemy transports and armour, and then the Paladins move in and clean up what's left.

I would have thought that the sheer amount of bi guns guard can have would compliment the apparent fragility of dark elders lightning strike assault styles

My favourites (for fun reasons, not always power reasons) are doubling up on the same army. You get to spam twice as many of something.

6 Monoliths? 4 Seer Councils? 6 Deathstrike Missiles? 18 Oblits? 6 units of complex Nob bikers?

IG and DE.

The Dark Eldar and their hit-and-run pick apart the enemy's flanks while the IG have their immense firepower pouring down the centre, bustin' vehicles.

Blood Angels/Space Wolves and Imperial Guard (Based on assault heavy Marine army and Imperial Guard infantry heavy gun line)

With BA and SW getting in your opponents' grill your Imperial Guard gun line will go relatively unmolested. I've won most my games when playing with BA allies although they generally get tabled the guard are left with enough fire power to mop up what's left.
I've only played three times with a SW ally but we've dominated every game thus far.
