I seem to recall when the Direct Sales order system was changed from the old parts service to the current system, it was mentioned that a lot of collectors' models were being discontinued but may come back into production if they get requested often enough.

With that in mind, I'd like to make the case for the classic Lord of Change figure. The one with a load of variant heads.

Spoiler:

OK, so a couple of the heads look lame by modern standards (though would look fine on a Chaos Spawn, or Tyranid, or the various Frankenstein-like monsters that have been emerging of late). But the 'leaping' body is fantastically dynamic (IMO being on a par with modern designs of Jump Infantry), the 'standing' bodies would look great as Chaos Trolls or Ogres in a Tzeentch-heavy army, and all of them would make for great alternative Daemon Princes.

Finally, the skeletal head is a wonderful component that I've greatly enjoyed using on a Bone Giant.

Spoiler:

And I would love to be able to acquire again so as to make a disturbing Parasite of Mortrex.

Regards,

Lindsay

Anyone care to back me up, here? inb4 dakka is not your private army, and comparisons to throwing pebbles into the grand canyon...

The biggest issue with old GW models, especially vehicles and Monstrous Creatures, is size. The older models are a lot smaller.

The best example I know of is the Hive Tyrant. The old one is so small that people use it as a Tyranid Prime instead of a hive tyrant

I like the model. I think it looks cool, but would it really be usable as a lord of change? Is the size so different from the older one, that using it would be modeling for advantage as it is easier to get the smaller MC a cover save? If it is small enough, maybe it could be re-released as a Tzeench Herald instead.

The old MCs are a great source of conversion and alt models for Daemon Princes, Broodlords, Primes, etc.

Yeah, this model's size is the real problem, if it were to be re-released as a Daemon Prince of Tzeentch then I'd definintely get one personally.

If they could re-release it but make it a little bigger it'd be great IMO, I certainly like the idea of more customisable Greater Daemons
