It appears that GW has a Storm Guardian listing on their webste. Due to the cost being so low I think it's a conversion pack rather than a full kit.

It's been there since Codex Eye of Terror, I think, and yes, it's a conversion kit.

I think you two misunderstand, there are now two entries for storm guardians, one at $33 and another at $15. Or am I mistaken about the new listing?

If it isn't a mistake, it's most likely ONLY the metal parts from the $33 kit.

I noticed that as well. Interesting. Also notice how jetbikes have been removed from the Eldar troops list on GW website. Only the Shreiker remains. Hmmm...

New elder jetbikes have been done for a while. I think they are going to release them with the next eldar release, but when that is who knows. Maybe 6th edition?

I'm thinking someone broke the Jetbike listing (original cost: 15 usd) and accidently spilled copypasta all over the page.

On another note, the Storm Guardians suck. It's 8 of the guardian sprue (not enough for a legal squad) and only contains 1 flamer and 1 melta, meaning you can't load out the squad as you'd want. I wish they'd just let you buy the bits separately.

I noticed that as well after wasting 30 bucks on the box. After that I just decided to scratchbuild all of them out of Guardian sprues from my Battleforces and Dire Avenger/Fire Dragon/DE Bitz. Much simpler.

Someone with bad luck needs to take one for the team and buy a ton of eldar jetbikes so GW can turn around and release the new ones right after you do.

I dont mind the current edition ones!

They fit the theme in my mind of how a craftworld eldar jetbike would look.

Much like the battlefleet gothic craftworld ships!

I hope the new ones continue in a similar ilk but just look cooler.

Edit: Tmonster for the win, they look excellent, sleeker but with the same kind of design! thanks for posting le photo

That picture of the 'new' jet bikes looks awesome its just a shame its been around for an age! Least you can tell the new Dark Eldar reavers took a lot of inspiration from that design IMO.

There's two Storm Guardian listings, so I'm guessing the second one is just the metal parts, no plastic pieces.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

I'm pretty sure it's the other way round IIRC. I think Jez designed these briefly after the core of the Reaver design? The was a 'Whats New Today' article IIRC.

If you take the front piece from an eldar jetbike, and slap it on the new reaver jetbiker, it looks darn close to that pic anyway. The reaver jetbike has about the same "structure", just with more blades. Creative swapping of the eldar jetbike vanes with the reaver blades is pretty simple really.

this prototype predates the reavers, he made this first. But seeing as this is off-topic, shall we stop discussing this.
