I noticed on the Forgeworld site that I could no longer find the Krieg Trench weapons teams so I shot off an E-mail. It seems there are several reasons but the long and short is that Forgeworld will no longer have that set of models so just a heads up.

You mean the 2 man weapons teams like the guys running with the heavy stubbers?

If we're lucky, it could be like Warlord's resin system (mold gets too icky, they shut that down and later make a new one)

But I have no idea how FW's system works, doesnt make sense to pull out one product of their most popular lines

He's likely mistakenly calling them "heavy weapons with crew" when there was a set of trench heavy stubbers that mounted on the trench endcaps. They included a trio of Krieg models standing at attention, with the arms from the Heavy Stubber Tank Commanders.

The heavy weapon teams are going nowhere, FW just recently broke them up from a 3 pack with one of each pose to where you can buy specific weapon teams in specific poses that you want.

The models I speak of where made for the Forge world trench system...

It was a much less expensive way to build up your trench lines rather then buy the full heavy weapons teams.

Why would you be building up your trenchlines by buying heavy weapons teams?

I had not had to purchase the heavy weapons teams, because Forgeworld used to make a set of three figures with 1 auto cannon and 2 twin linked heavy stubbers for the price of a single heave weapons team. The trench lines come with strongpoints for mounting heavy weapons but now to finish I will have to cough up three time the money to finish.

And it's exactly what I said it was earlier.
Three Death Korps bodies(as in the ones from the standard set), three sets of arms from the heavy weapon teams/tank commanders, and three weapons.

That set's been gone since 2010 and FW's changeover. I'd wager that the reason it's gone is because it was never actually meant to be a "set" on its own and once the "Trench System" went away, they'd gotten rid of the last of it.

That's an interesting spin...

FW used to sell all 3 separately, or all 3 together in a pack for a saving over buying them separately.

Now you can only buy them separately.
