Hi Gang,

Sorry it's been a while since I posted here. I work in the Visual Effects Industry and after a long lean spell, started working at a new company about 3 weeks back and it's been insane (I worked 101 hours last week).

Anyway, the point of this posting is that I had a young lad from the neighbourhood helping me get orders out and he's suddenly quit on me with no coherent explanation. Looking over the last 2-3 weeks records for stamps.com and PayPal shipping, and also from a rough stock check, I suspect that a number of orders either haven't shipped at all or were incomplete.

If you have ordered from me in the last three weeks and have had any problems at all, can I ask that you PM or email me ( info@themanufactorum.com )? I haven't received any complaints, but just want to make sure nothing has slipped through the cracks...

And I really, really, really will try to get the Land Raider variants wrapped up this week!

Thanks as always,

Simon

As I said, I haven't had any complaints and I don't think he's done anything terrible, he just had that kind of demeanour young people have when there's something their afraid to 'fess up to.

Maybe it's just something stupid like he broke something I haven't noticed yet.

Listen to me, "young people". I sound like an old fart.

I've had one PM of an order placed about a week ago that hasn't arrived yet, and I'm inclined to give that an extra day or two before calling International Rescue.

Just want to be sure everyone gets at least what they ordered and if there's the odd extra in there, then all's well and good.

Anyway, should anyone have any problems at all don't hesitate to drop me a line.

By the way, for those who're into this stuff, the new shows we're working on are Terra Nova (looks beautiful even if the premise is preposterous) and Exit Strategy which looks like my kind of show...

Just a quick update on the chaos of the last few weeks:

It does seem like a pattern is starting to emerge - if you ordered just magnets in the last few weeks you probably received them, if you ordered kits then they may not have gone out.

Also, if you received a 404 error at checkout I may not have received a notification of your order. It seems that my "helper" inadvertently changed my main PayPal email to an old account I rarely use.

I've taken the day off today (Wednesday) in the hope I can resolve any remaining issues, so do PM or email me if you have an outstanding order.

I have downloaded all PayPal transactions and I'm going through them to try and see if I can find any that aren't a match for shipping records.

If there is any doubt, I will re-ship the order. On the offchance that anyone receives a duplicate shipment of an order they've already received you're free to keep or return it. At this point, I'm certainly not going to quibble!

The last thing I want is anyone feeling they haven't been dealt with fairly, so please do contact me if you're not entirely happy.

I will try to email everyone as a double-check, but my number one priority today is getting packages in the mail.

Cheers,

Simon

Gone-to-ground in the craters of Coventry

I ordered around that time, and the magnets turned up after 3 weeks.
Since I'm in the UK and you're not, I chalked it up to the international postal systems.
Just one thing. This is the 2nd order I had from you, and the first had the marnets sellotaped to the delivery note.
This time, they were wrapped in thin foan packaging. Or, 2 of the 3 sets were. The other was bouncing around in the package.
It's no biggy, as I got the stuff I ordered, in good condition. It might have played havok with postal sorting machines, but I got it anyway

By the way, thanks loads for offering this stuff in the first place. Good luck with the job.
If only I could work out the inches-to-mm conversions in my head :(

There may be a few stragglers, but I think pretty much all outstanding orders will be in the mail tomorrow morning.

I hope everyone has (or will) finally get what they ordered and feels that they've been dealt with fairly. As always, feel free to email or PM me if there are any unresolved issues.

@Skinnereal: Sorry, I thought the new packaging was a better way of doing things. Everything should have been foam-wrapped inside a zip-lock bag. Would you PM me your email address so I can look up the order?

I can certainly get them, but if you're looking to create a magnetic ball joint as in some of the kits, you're better off mating a ball bearing to ring magnets.

This.
Though be careful if it's metal models you're trying to put on a ball joint. The weight makes it a bit iffy, they slide even with a layer of glue for grip.

As for me, just that order I wrote up and sent via email (your other email). Drop me a line back for price and such.
Again, no rush, just keeping in touch. =)

BloodQuest: I've never ordered anything from you, but reading this thread and seeing the level of customer service you're willing to go through to make sure everyone is happy is outstanding! You'll be my first go-to if I ever need a magnetizing lot for my PP minis.

Other than this small issue, my last order was awesome. My friends are thinking about making orders.
