Hello guys, i have been lurking in the dakka dakka forum and gallery for a while and i must say, here is some serious works on conversion and painting, that i feel simply overwhelm, i am fairly new in the hobby, like a month, a lot of friends got interested in warhammer 40k, and each one choose a race to start with, me and one of my friends gf choose orks, simply cause i feel that the scrappy and humurous side of orks would be really funny to work with.
i got some ideas around the forum, and decided like many others to form a grot only army, just cause i love the idea of many many little goblins being blasted away and scorched to death and atop of them lots of rusty kans clanking in their march.
since was suposed to be a grot only army, it will be lacking of meaning that a single ork will be herding them, so i replaced him, and placed two guys to do the same job.
i still have to base them and now i think the job was made in the wrong order, so many hours of carefull rocks and grass placement awaits me

That's a pretty good Runtherd. Dynamic pose, humour, Wysiwyg, everything. Great job!

I know a guy who did something similar. For his stormgrotz he used the more dynamic models and mounted them on springs "retrieved" from the free pens at a local bank. He used sm parts to signify the nobz. I can't remember what he used for a warboss though......
Anyway, that looks great, keep the good work up

thanks for the good feedbacks, it give me full morale to keep on doing thingies with my army, shamely, i have a gretchins limitant till our local hobby store make my 5 gretchins and grot pack order to games workshop, 70 pretty grots on my army will be something cool to see, with some mek grots, and i will use the stormgrot idea of the spr... wait,. what about a grot on a pogo stick, like in blood bowl? i will make a whole unit of stormgrots, i wish our local players accept them as "count as" stormboys.
i am going to make the warboss with three grots in a single base, one with the power klaw in his arm, the second trying to help carrying the klaw and the last one holding the twin linked shoota over his head and suporting it over the one with the claw shoulder, like artillery X3
i also made 6 mek grot riggers i am painting, will post them when ready, two for each killa kan, will make more when my other kans hit the store.

Hello again guys, i proudly present to you, one of in my humble considerations is the best conversion i have made so far, or at least he have a good place in my 40k noob heart
with you is Big Mek Markus Aka Killa Kan Shaman
front view, of his iconic mask, power klaw and the always reliable "sprues wrench"
side view of his not so big kustom force field generator and antenae
back view of his "arse plate" and the wires that recicles the unused power klaw energy into the force field and viceversa.
and a little quarter side picture i liked
