Ok, here is another take on the 2500pt army that I need. I know that most people say to take 2 Stormravens, but I only have one and dont want to buy another one so please dont just say to run two of them.

A couple things that I am not sure on is the Sanguinary Priests, and should I have one of the Baal's with the flamestorm cannon?

IMHO i would recommend dropping the HG and taking a Furioso to attach to the SR. this leaves you 120 pts to play with....maybe a Chaplain w/ PF to go along with one of the Flamer Assault units.

How about this then....

and I would still have 40pts left. Should I change the 10 man assault squad to Death Company?

I would stick with the 10 man Assault Squad. DC only really serve one purpose - soaking up enemy fire IMO lol, plus they don't count as scoring (not that you need another scoring unit in this list anyways).

If i were using this list I would use the extra 40 pts on the priests and give them LC's. However, a lot of players don't like to drop the points on the priests as they can be singled out, but they are not WS5 for nothing!

I only have one Raven though at the moment. I plan on keeping it in reserve if I dont get the first go. And I have so much armor that my oponent should have problem with target priority.

So I shouldnt have PW?

The thing is you have lots of armor but its in a razorback they are armor 11 and they are not as deadly as a sr so the first thing to get shot is the raven because it its much more of a threat.

Pf just in case there is a walker of some sort so you can punch it in the face because 1 melta bomb is sketchy it could hit but it usually wont.

Pw are nice and all but squishing a guy or 2 flat out is fun and tanks hate it.

I would re do this list drop the priests and a lib

4 las plas razors
2 assault cannon razors.
2 baal preds hb assault cannons
3 hf mm speeders
2 or 3 vindicators
a lib
that should give you a solid core and a lot of armor plus pesky little speeders ps no one ever shoots at them until after they have earned their points back.

Then you have a few points to play around with maybe stern guard vets in razors or a rhino so they can shoot out up to you.

The whole points of Stormravens is to toss something super uber killy inside, shove it at your foe, and say "deal with this".

Your list has nothing like that. Its Razorspam with a tacked in Stormraven. Either cut the AM squad and get some Death company, terminators, or mephiston to go in the raven, or cut the raven for more razorback spam.

I find mixing the two generally doesn't work. Your strategy either revolves around the ravens or around the laserbacks.

If you only use 1 raven tho its highly likely that it will get shot down fast tho and then you are left with the task of using its loss to get something else to the front with razors you are not really moving anything to the front more sitting back and letting them come.

Mephi in a raven is not too good of an idea imo hes 250 th eraven is 200+ and a dread might be dangling off the back making the whole thing 500+ points which is 20% of your army in this case all in 1 package.

The lastest list is looking alright but the single Dreadnought and Stormraven are just begging to be shot at. Also Priests don't have power weaps either they're meant to buff your army not kill a few models in combat and then die.

Switch the Stormraven to another Furioso Dreadnought but add blood talons as they're freakin' evil. Drop the power weaps on the Priests as mentioned. Then the 10 man squad, it's not needed, make it 5 man. Also the melta untis don't need a power fist as you cannot assault out of the tanks get infernus pistol. Then get a Scout squad to hold a objective though I'd get another Razorback squad.

Is this one better? I dropped the stormraven and priests and added another Furioso Dread and Honor Guard. And I still have a whole 5pts!! haha

the flamer ones i would give their razors assault cannons because I assume they will be going forward so that way you have more dakka power.

Drop the grapple of the dread there is no point he is infantry grinder not a tank hunter.

Drop a lib and upgrade one to a lib dread that one is for tank hunting wings and shield or wings and the one that gives plus 3 attacks.

No keep both Librarians as you need them with mech for shield power. Drop a Baal you don't need three of them. Meltagun units also don't need power weapons either.

List looks loads better. Still needs double Dreadnoughts, you can lose a Baal for one and you don't need the power weaps in the melta units.

How would a dreadnought work better in this list than a Baal predator?

He has Librarian Dreadnought and only one of them. He needs two for target saturation of Dreadnoughts. It's not case of Dreadnought vs Baal but Dreadnought needs a friend.

Just take another Dreadnought to support the Librarian one. Personally I'd go for another Librarian one to stop target priority as Furiosos with blood talons for example can be lethal. TBH I'd take Furiosos with blood talons over Librarian Dreads, though YMMV.

I would throw in 2 Furioso Librarian Dreadnoughts and a 6th Las/Plas Razorback. I feel like honor guard is too expensive for what they do and should only be considered once your FOC slots are filled up. I don't think PW are needed on the squads with flamers. I also don't like Furioso Dreadnoughts just floot slogging. It always takes too long for them to get to where I need them to be.
