So i am involved in a Paint and Play, and i am doing Emporers Children. I wanna scratch build the sonic blasters? Any thoughts on how to do this?

Sadly I don't have any pictures of them, but when I did mine, I took the chaos heavy bolter and took a gargoyle head from the chaos vehicle accessory sprue and put it on the front. Using green stuff I filled the mouth in and scuplpted speaker lines.

It works really well and is easy and cheap to do.

I took the back end of a lascannon(I have tons of lascannons laying about for some reason) and exhaust vents from typhoon launchers(lots of DA upgrade sprues). Place the exhaust longwise at the end and it makes a convincing "Sound" gun. Add in guitar string and other random wire/tubing and you are good to go. Scultpting nekkid demonettes straddling the gun as I did is totally optional.

I used to just throw the gargoyle style heads onto bolters in a similar fashion to what Jayden mentions, and those look alright as well.

I've thought about using the Ork Kustom Mega Blaster from the Kan kit.

Doing as others have suggested and putting the gargolye heads on them as well I think.

Do you need one for a Cybot or for Noise Marines?
I'm looking for a small conversion project anyway, so I might try to rack one up, together with a tutorial.

look for noise marines..for the PnP....im only doing one unit of noise marines. @ korraz if you could throw up a tutorial that would be very helpful.

Started working on it. It's not the second coming, but my first take should be workable for a basic tutorial.
With any luck, it should be finished tomorrow. If not...well, 1. Mai is my birthday, so it might be delayed by a day or two.

Didn't early sonic blasters look like combi-guitars?
