Herp derp here is a poll with only the three races I play and oh a token imperial unit.
What kind of a joke is this? It's a bad one, imo. The bare minimum you could have done would be to throw a unit up from each codex. What a crappy poll, what does >50% of the polled responses in "other" tell you? Answer: Nothing.

Yeah, this is a pretty damn bad poll IMHO. I don't mean that in a rude way, but I don't see what it will achieve and the options you've created means the majority of people are voting for 'other'.

The reason for this poll in the first place was I wanted to see how commonly people used races that are designed mostly for hit-and-run for their hit-and-run strategies.
50>other means people like taking armies that are made specifically for this job, while 50<other means people like the more generic, flexible armies that have some hit-and-run elements.
And no, I am not talking about the hit-and-run rule, I am talking from a strategical standpoint.> Automatically Appended Next Post: djphranq wrote:Are you talking about the 'hit-and-run' special rule? or hit and run in general?

Or it means that they like taking any of the other armies in 40k. Most people don't play Tau, and Tau Eldar and Dark Eldar are hardly the majority of the races. Maybe you should make a better poll next time, because despite what you think it shows, this one doesn't show anything, from a "strategic standpoint" or not.>

Sarcasm aside, those are all phenomenal hit-and-run units and should be included in your poll-there aren't many hit and run units but you seem to have forgotten the biggest heavy hitters (including dante+sanguine guard too)

Dante+ SG is a fast attack choice, yes, but they are hardly a hit-and-run, tactics wise. They are more "get up close and smash you to pieces as fast as is possible", instead of "fire, hide, fire, hide" i.e. JSJ.

And now the truth comes out as to what you really wanted to achieve from this poll. This statement also shows why we have 4 Tau options in the poll. Pathfinders in Devilfish shouldn't even be in the same sentence as Hit and Run. In the future, you should better define your poll. "hit and run" is a rather generic term, and the fact that you wanted something very specific out of it is even worse.
I move that this poll should be locked by the nearest available mod, for being pointless and biased. Anyone care to step up and do it?
