All that sounds awsome but im really disapointed we are not the "undead" machines we used to be.. t4-5 3+ save and a double 4+ wbb which was usually not denied coz of the orb. If they nerf survivability in an alreayd nerfed race they gonna have to boost everything else a lot, at least i hope so.

With the cryptek holdin a VoD and a res orb and ten 17-point immortals with assault weaps..... t4 s3+ 4+++++ and teleporting every movement phase? AND THEY ARE TROOPS? why you pplz complaining? necrons are not gonna be horde. I'm pretty sure every1 is gonna play with the new AWSOME units and forget about the old warriors ... AWSOME rumorz bring us moar please?

I might be projecting my own worry here, but I think people are saddened by the idea that Warriors - one of the only unchanged sculpts reportedly - aren't even gonna be useful, meaning that an entire army needs to be bought, rather than updating some models.

I can see what ur saying, i got 51 warriors myself(i know its not a lot but im a relatively new player) but still warriors wont be useless, I see it more like a buff as well. Just get 40 warriors on the table-top(two 20-model squads) with their RO's inside vehiles or even VoD. I think you can see my point. Plus with the new elites and the units in general (and ofc havin Phase Out gone) I dont think any enemy will focus on our warriors ^_^

Checking back my e-mails, I realized you're right! My Orcs and Goblins Incoming was also on a Monday roughly 3 months before release, and even the Storm of Magic expansion set for July was sent on a Monday. That was some shrewd observation there, I'll give you that.

Um...... I looked back to last year to see when the Daemons (last years August release) where announced and I found that they were announced on the 16th of May on a Monday, which is tomorrow I cant wait to see if I am right!!

Well together with no incoming e-mails also came no pre-orders... Same guy who said there will be no e-mails said that for pre-orders too. Looks like we actually haf ta w8 till the last week

First of all, if the release is for August we should have the e-mail at 16th may. We obviously didnt get it. Secondly rumors have said that GW stopped sending incoming e-mails.(and that rumor was pretty old, way before the 16th)
Also, if you check GW site the "Why Register" paragraph it does not mention the sending of incomin e-mails that used to be mentioned, it got deleted, which confirms my previous point. We got an e-mail bout the DE coz they were already there before the new "rule". However, I might be wrong(even tho it's quite impossible i'm never wrong).

Here are some ideas for the vehicles... (as found in Warseer by Kelvan)

IMO it looks stupid, especially this big skull at the front. This sketch could fit with Tabitha rumours of MC/Vehicle type thing which is out of Necron theme.

2. Second one is War Barque which looks like hovering Rhino which portal at its front.

3. Here we have War Altars with guns and portals at their front.

Due to Monolith we all used to think that Necrons vehicles don't have any crew or mounted steermans. However, first sketches say something else and if we combine this knowledge with informations obtained from FOD I think we can expect that few vehicles from these sketches for sure would be at new Necron codex.

Necrons might be some undead chicken tomorrow and happy clowns. That WILL be their fluff and they will never be refered to as undead machines. They wont be no more. Current fluff is for the current rules/units. Get over it. Its gonna change. I know this will probably upset some people but the new fluff cant be any worst. We currently have nearly no fluff, anything will be an improvement. And who knoes in the end we might all like the transports.

Duuuude... hold on a sec... We seriously know nothing about necrons... There is no fluff.The only fluff we've got is "war in heaven" in the codex and the brand new(possibly based on the new 'dex's fluff) Fall of Damnos. And to tell you the truth, i have read it and didnt find anything new.. Exept the architects and the wakening part, I got no new things for necrons. Also, FoD is devoted on space-marines... Seriously, have you read it?

Dont get my wrong, dont judge me. I love my necrons myself, they are my first and favourite army. I like how they are the undead skeletons in space etc etc, however I will accept a change as that is what makes a game non-boring. A game cant stay static, there have to be changes. New people have to be brought it. New customers. Perhaps, the fluff will evolve arround the one we have now but include a heck of lot more stuff. That would be nice huh? However my main point when i started this conversation with the fluff was that it might change, so you cant compare the new rules with the old fluff. EG Crypteks are awsome and they have all the tecnologies and stuff but where are they in the codex today? Nowhere to be found. that was my actual point. I understand we are all nerd raged,sad people since our lil metal men are currently in a pretty bad position and will prolly stay there for quite a while yet, but since this is a *NECRON* rumor thread I would like to please you: Do not make a Necron player who wants to read rumors or anything the Internet got to offer have to read 60 pages of Ward hate, SM hate, arguing about 40k Rules(SA or NR), or anything similar. As for rumors, my lgs manager-owner told me that he was told that Necrons will probably get pushed back to 2012 since there is no 40k in summer. From what I think however there will be no 40k in automn either. (Ogres)
This fits perfect with the rumor that they(GW) are trying to boost Fantasy a lot.
