I think you achieved higher than Table Top standard. It's nice to see this mini done up with such style. Any reason you left the parchment scroll on his right leg blank?

Thanks for the comments, I left the parchments blank honestly because I forgot to do them and I was going to leave it till the end as my free hand script is not very good. It was fun to paint but I'm going to stick to painting random minis, and odd jobs for mates. This way I can paint up marines from different chapters too, much more fun to be had! Next is Lucius the Eternal then Cato Sicarius or a Dark Eldar Succubus.

The blue armour was done: base of necron abyss >> Regal Blue / Necron Abyss (1:1) >> Regal Blue >> Ultramarines Blue >> Skull White / Ultramarines Blue (2:1).
I did skip a few steps on some areas which I found too small to cover.
Thanks all for the feedback too, one thing I would mention is that the mini IRL appears softer and less stark with the highlighting. Maybe it's a result of the camera/lighting and auto adjust feature in the gallery.

I suppose too that the "toons" look of the armor should be a consequence of both the camera and the auto-adjust and I would really like to see it in better conditions. It can be my monitor also.. Anyway I really like it. Very neat paintjob on it. Maybe a little too much neat for a 300+ years old marine. He will certainly deserve some discret battle damage and eventually (if you're experienced with) a wise and thrifty use of weatering pigments. I will even mark a little more the highlights on the red parts, especially on the power fist. But maybe this is another effect of the camera+auto adjust softening. I really think this is all this model need to step-up from an allready very high table-top quality to exposition quality. Bravo PS: is the grey hard lining on the Storm Bolter a little softenend in reality too? Because as I can see it on my monitor it's just too much visible I think. Don't you?
