Over the next day or two I'll be posting Information about local Hotel prices for rooms and things like that. We are conveniently located right off of US Highway 1 near downtown Raleigh, NC. I am expecting people from all over the East Coast and some from across the USA.

I'll be setting up a Pay Pal account for those who want to prepay their fee this week.

Interesting. Bit of a trek for me but maybe I could be tempted if I can find somewhere to crash.

What is the difference between "players choice" award and "favorite opponent" awards?

Very interested, except I'm in training the entire week leading up to the event, plus a birthday during this. Can't quite commit yet.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

@Lord: Player's Choice is voted on as the favorite army/painted while opponent is who was the most fun person you played against.

@Charlie: If you can make it AWESOME. If not then we understand.

So got the hotel pricing worked out with Holiday Inn down the road. It is less than 10 minutes door to door.

For a room with 2 Double Beds it is $68.00 per night. For each person past the first 2, it is an additional $10 per person.

So for 2 people sharing a room it is $68.00 / 2 = $34 per night per person and for 4 people sharing a room it would be $88 / 4 = $22 per night per person. (Plus tax and fee's or w/e)

Their address is 4100 Glenwood Ave. Raleigh, NC 27612. Their phone number is (919)782-8600.

Hope this helps anyone thinking of coming from out of town!

Is this the first posting for this event? I would love to go and play in North Carolina, since I was stationed at Fort Bragg for a few years, however, three week notice is too short for me. Was this posted on another forum? I wish this event the very best, as wells as, everyone who attends it the very best!

It was posted back at the beginning of May here and @ a few other websites around the web.

I have a lot of great friends who live in the Fort Bragg area who play. Some were here yesterday for a 1,500 point event we did. If you can make it that would be great, as you might recognize some faces. If not I totally understand!

Still painting, but making pretty good progress. The terrain at the last tourney was top notch. Gotta try and not make my models be a detractor.

When are army lists due? When I first registered, I was on the fense about which army to bring and did not indicate as such.

Definitely looking forward to it. Painting is officially complete as of yesterday, which is probably a first for me. I remember back many a tourney where I'm up the night before trying to finish painting those last few models.

Glad to hear it man. See you soon!!! Just doing some painting myself. Me and Rob had to make 5-6 new tables. So we got those done this week and I am doing the terrain for them now.
