Can anyone point me in the direction of a good guide on how to use static grass on bases? I haven't done it before and need a good introduction.

When i use it i do it like this:

1) put a small spot of super glue on the place where i want the patch of grass,

2)sprinkle a small bit of the static grass , leave it to dry for a little ,not long enough for it to be completely dry but long enough for it to stick

3)blow off any excess

4)repeat as needed

Any help?

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

I use neat PVA rather than superglue.

1) Base with grit/pint/etc

2) Dot PVA in quite small (2-3mm in diameter) splodges over the base (this looks more like natural tufts rather than blobs which are larger unless you want to do some extra work on making them look better).

3) Use tweezers to fluff up some static grass before transferring it to the base using the tweezers using a small pinch on each PVA blob.

4) Gently tap down on the grass pile using the tweezers to press it into the glue.

5) Shake off the excess onto a bit of paper so you can collect it for re-use.

6) Allow to dry.

You can use different mixes of static grasses to make different shades and textures of grass patches.

The only reason i use super glue is that i was always told that it stiffens the grass and makes it look sticky-uppy

Have you never worked with glitter? Pretty much the same idea.

That's right. How is that for some perspective?

I use my Noch applicator and pva glue.

Put the grass in the shaker bottle (came in the starter kit).
SHAKE IT UP (loosens clumps up and gets the static charge going).

Remove lid and puff at the base where the glue is - until sufficient grass is there. Let it sit for a half hour or so.
Pick it up, blow (gently) to remove excess grass, collect overspill for reuse. Put model somewhere to dry properly.

Sounds easy enough, thanks for the info.
