Resin bases!! Nothing spectacular just urban rubble but I think it fits them well.

Finished assembling all 60 Wyches, and for the most part got them all in somewhat of a different dynamic pose. Will try to get them basecoated and ready for painting tomorrow. This will definitely be the bulk of this project. From here on I will probably reduce posts to 10 wyches and a Raider with longer gaps of time in between, I'm not much of a speed painter.

I took a break from painting to assemble the rest of the army, I did paint up a wych today though. I definitely need to thin my flesh paints some more but overall I'm happy with the results.

This army's only weakness will be Patrick Swayze and the Wolverines.

Wow, looks great Aglobalthreat! I really quite like the red and cream on the Ravager.

The test model looks quite good! But I think that something it's a bit too red. Maybe try going with a dark blue or dark green on the guns to bring a bit of contrast. Other than that I think it looks really nice! Well done!

Finally some one who says rudder, as a sailer you now how many people come up and say whats that steering thing on the end. "Its a rudder/tiller", "and whats that stick on a rubber thing that extends out". "thats a tiller extention". no but seriously this is a great looking army, and thank you for getting rudder right

If an Airbrush of usefull quality wouldn´t be such an investment (compared to good old brushes) I´d be tempted to get one and try my hands on Airbrushing, but alas...

The airbrush I got wasn't too bad and it wasn't a cheapo one either, I got the Iwata hp-cs model from amazon for $120. It is a little pricey but if you think about the money you will save in the cost of primer I think it averages out quite well.

Cool army, Wish i had your skill, cash, and ability to upload pictures. I have a friend with mixmash Marines who paints fairly good and one who paints really well but kills most of his models(Tau and chaos) with wash.

Ravager looks solid start too, bronze and red work well together, just feels like it needs a touch more contrast on the sides...maybe a pattern in white on the sides and gunshields?

@Vanq: Yeah I've always liked how red has looked on Dark Eldar gives them a good old bloody feel. As far as the Ravager goes it still needs a lot of work like the rest of the crew and the guns need to be painted. I've been trying to make some DE icon stencils so I could airbrush them onto the vehicles but so far all attempts haven't turned out too well. I do agree that they need something more.

A beautiful red, and contrasts nicely with the black bits of armour and pale skin tones. Look forward to seeing what is next!

As far as whats next.. I ordered some Reavers to fill out my 2000pt list. Not quite sure how I'm going to paint them yet but I'm leaning towards majority black with minimal red detailing. Or should I paint them similar to the Raiders and Ravagers? Let me know what you guys think and when they get here I'll throw up a test model of the alternate scheme.

Personaly, I think hellions are a very good unit, much like wyches without special weapons, and they have strenght four, I can understand not getting them though(22 models a point I dont think so)

Just received my resin bases in the mail today!!

So here are my first models that are completely finished.

Looks great. While I can't say I like the shaved heads of some of the DE, it is painted really good.

God... I hate all you awesome painters. I really hope I can do my DE justice.

And by the way... your Archon totally looks like he's a pimp flanked by the wyches.

@Xelkireth: Haha yeah that's kind of what I was thinking too regarding the Archon, think he should be re-named Pimp daddy sliscus. I mean he only gives out better drugs to wyches kinda fits the profile lol.

@Saintspirit: Thank you, I definitely agree about the bald head but he is only a temporary stand in, hopefully they make the special character he is supposed to represent soon.

recon that the blue hair looks better, it creats a different contrast to the model and also makes it look prettier.
