The whole Warhammer 40k universe is defined by those who wear Power Armor.
A story that shows the slow devolution of the crumbling human empire, Space Marines are the focal point of the effort to valiantly save the Imperium from destruction.
It is no wonder that game designers sought to make Space Marines and their equivalents the most prevalent army type around.

I agree there are a fair too many power armour or 3+ save armies out there, but at least two of them (Necrons and SoB) have a big enough drawback to kind of balance it out a little.
In terms of the SoB it is the lower toughness and more expensive transport options, while the Necrons pay for it with outdated rules and are completely incompetent when it comes to close combat.
I've got used to the amount of power armour though. The real annoying ones will be the TDA lists (such as DA, SW and GK) or the 3+ Feel No Pain lists. Both of these usually come with a trade off in order to gain this extra durability though, whether it is trading off some of their longer ranged power or trading their numbers.

I guess Im lucky because there is only 1(soon going to be 2) player that plays SM regularly. I can see ho it would get annoying though to play the same army type over and over.

the Real problem lies whit that the most of the 3+ teams dont have big a draback to balans the consistent fact that they are just making more and more of them and as we speak they are getting better just last night I met a 2+ gray knight list

Well, power armor robs players of their imagination, I built an entire battlefield out of terrain made from plaster moldings and decorations from petco, with a lot of cover to be used strategically.

I would like to see some xenos get fleshed out as much as the Imperium armies. Eventually the Marines and the guard are going to get bored of fighting the Marines and the guard, and the Xenos players are going to get tired of getting roflstomped by 3+ saves against 5+s and 6+s with nothing to back it up with.
Eldar: Good variety in troops, but most of them do their job 'okay'. (i.e. banshees can rape face, but they're a snowball in hell when the enemy's attacks come, especially if your dice hate you).
Held back by low toughness, the only pluses are hard-to-kill vehicles, and an extremely mobile force. From my experience, least played army, barring Witch Hunters
Tau: Awesome long distance weaponry, even in 5th ed, good, reliable troops, minus LD and BS, and minus the Kroot altogether (see above example, excluding the part about 'raping face'.
Held back by poor leadership, irrelevant wargear, terrible units, and there's so much Deep Strike in the game, the Tau tend to have people making pretty green splotches on the walls before the Firewarriors are in range. Second least played army, barring Sisters. Their 'CC' unit doesn't quite do its job well enough to warrant taking, some games.
Necrons: WBB is a godsend to these guys, otherwise they'd just get bowled over in the shooting phase, rather than the assault phase.
Held back by high points cost, arguably ineffective against vehicles in 5th ed., and they're the second worst in CC, the worst being the Tau (by design)
Now let's look at some Marines
Smurfmarines: Pretty balanced overall, and extremely customizable. Several different, (read: Effective) playstyles, not to mention getting tons of love from the fluff department (A.k.a. Matt Ward.)
Blood marines, I mean angels: Deep striking Land Raiders and some pretty awesome fixes for old units, (Death Company, for example.) I feel that their reliance(?) on CC is a good hamper on the force, but the BA codex provides quite a bit of wiggle room for this.
Space Wolves: Again, a pretty balanced army, until you get into the image of vikings riding in METAL BAWKSES(sorry) with guns on top, with 300 missile launchers, all aimed at your most expensive vehicle. I don't have much experience against Space Wolves, but I feel they get a bad rap just because people like to copypaste in their armylist.
Gray Knights: The love child between Matt Ward and Matt Ward, of course they'd get special praise. They have awesome new units, and most are pretty devastating for what they do.
If anything, Ward did something right, and made many units so expensive, there's just about as many members in a 1.5k GK armylist as there is in your local Weight Watchers club (read: very few.)
They are held back, though, by costs of units, rules questions in desperate need of an FAQ, and the stigma that GKs are so overpowered that no one wants to play against them, and the stigma that Matt Ward wrote the codex, ergo, if GK were his girlfriend, and he was a suitor, this would be his love letter to GK.
I'll stop my rant here.
tl;dr, I agree, to a point. Make the Xenos races more appealing to play, other than 'for the fluff' or 'for the challenge.'

According to those same rumors, their points cost will be cut way back and the WBB heavily modified and so on. What's your point?

I love power armor. After a railgun hits it, the inside is nice and liquified. All my Kroot have to do is pop open the helmet and slurp it down.
|
There are some who walk until their legs fail them and they fall to the ground. I find that respectable.
Then there are those who drag themselves further. I find that admirable. |

Until just recently there were quite a few power armor armies that were pretty terrible to pick up. Since the last few months of updates have completely changed the playing field I can see where you're coming from.
That said, dark eldar just got an update that if nothing else was very balanced and fleshed out. Necrons are more than likely up next(sisters are neck and neck with crons). Hopefully we'll see some more non-PA armies getting updated soon as well but they aren't being completely ignored.
I'd also put forth chaos space marines if you want to see a neglected PA army. They've updated plenty of still-decent armies before csm and our last codex was a major step backwards.

I pretty much agree with ya there. I havnt played against the GK yet (though that should change here soon) but yea Im not afraid of vanilla at all, yea they are a good match, but nothing ever hits the table that me question my build. BA can be tough though alot of that depends on the player. SW just piss me off and always have so not much has changed there

40k is the dark ages of the future, and the coolest thing in the dark ages were the the armored knights. So, the greatest warriors in humanity are once again knights, except this time they wear power armor instead of regular armor.

No it's not. Power armored troops are the tertiary aspects that a number of people focus far too much on . What REALLY defines 40k is the Imperial Guard and its common enemies.
