I'm going to be in London this weekend and was wondering if there's any place to buy forgeworld, or is it strictly mail order?

AFAIK The only place you can buy FW stuff in a store, is the GW store in Warhammer World in Nottingham.

Rodgers is right.
I went to a GW store in London, at Covent Gardens, and was lucky to find Imperial Armour books. The Covent Gardens store is small and lacks anything beyond a 4' by 4' table.

Also has a man with a beard who tried to sell me £400 worth of stuff when I went to buy a box of CSM. Cant blame him for trying lol.

None of the store employee tried to sell me anything when I was last there in 2008. Guess they can tell I'm not from the UK.

According to mapquest London is only about 2 1/2 hours from Nottingham...how long are you there for? Is your schedule too busy to work in a trip?

It'd probably be cheaper just to pay postage to the USA (which I think is free for larger orders) than the train fare/petrol/time spent driving to Nottingham.

You should call the GW store on Oxford Street or Covent Garden and see if they can order it for you to collect from their store.

Depends on how much driving your used to. For us Florida residents 2 1/2 hours isnt too big a deal. Every few months I drive that same amount just to get to a good games store. I have a 30 minute drive to work and its considered a local job.
Also, sometimes actually going to the store and browsing is part of the point.

Right, but if I were on holiday in London, there are things I'd rather do than drive/train to Nottingham and back to see Forge World. I am British, now living in the USA, so can understand that driving is not a big deal if you're used to the USA (my commute takes a little while), but also that Nottingham isn't a place I'd (personally) want to spend my holiday if I were on a short trip to the UK.

Just a quick update. I went to the Imperial War Museum instead of chasing after forgeworld!

That is my favorite place to visit in London. I really wanted to visit their WW2 poster exhibition while I was there last time but the wife was tired so we went somewhere else before we managed to get round to them.
Hope you had fun
