Well I'm torn, since I started watching European Football the two teams that I have adopted, Manchester United and Barcelona, will be Duking it out for the UEFA Championship.As an American I have sympothy towards Man-U. I don't think they will be able to pull it out vs Messy and Co. though.
What say ye DAKKA?

Well, I've been to the Nou Camp (Barcelona) but not Old trafford, so Barca for me. Plus, it's funny seeing Fergie choking on his chewing gum.

Why do people always adopt Man U?
Barca are the favorites to win AFAIK but Man U have pulled some surprising wins in the past.

Oh  it could be because their the underdogs-in this match any way. I find it nice people are supporting Man U because a lot of people seem to hate Man U; from what I've seen anyway.

You trying to say that Barca aren't good enough to beat a United X1? I would have thought it would be harder for them to score if Man.U get someone sent off, because they will just defend.
Barca can pass the ball around anyone, and since there not playing Madrid, it won't be a cheating, diving fest.
Barca will win easily....

That's an interesting question. All I can say is that I knew absolutely nothing about soccer until about a year ago when I got Fox Soccer channel as part of a cable sports package. I just happened to like the way Man-u played. I chose Barca as my La Liga team because I can't stand Renaldo from Real Madrid. I was horrified to find out that he used to play for Man-U.

My heart says United but my head says Barca. United can beat Barca but they'll have to have their tactics spot on and play to the full extent of their ability. Their movement is gonna catch Vidic flat footed at some point and they will score. To win, we've got to think about being able to score two goals... :(
And if I see Ferdinand and Carrick trying out their favourite long ball stuff, it's just gonna make me have a heart attack cause Barca will have enough possession without giving them the ball, too.
The more I think about it, the more I worry but, like I say, we can win. We just have to play out of our skins.

It doesn't help Barca that I am very weary against FIFA/UEFA and their apparent bias against English teams of late.

I'm gunna bite; why does everyone seem to hate Man U? I talk to people about football and the hate seeps out of every orifice, I tell people I support Man U (since I was old enough to understand football, which I believe was about 13-14 years ago) and i'm instantly a glory hunter.
People hate the team, people hate the fans (I hate the glory hunters that give the true fans a bad name, but a lot of people seem to think that Man U fan = Glory Hunter no matter what)...
I just don't understand it, to me it's like the rage that comes with every new Codex/Army Book release where everyone must hate it or be burned at the stake as a WAAC player, except this rage never seems to blow over.

It's Fergie - he's a smug strawberry-nosed jock knob-head. That's a large part of why I hate Manyoo.
I'm torn really, because being British and living in Manchester I SHOULD want Utd. to win.... That said, I have great affection for Catalunya and the Catalan people since living living there for a couple of years. To be honest, I don't give a gak either way!
If it was City instead of United, I'd be right behind them, I will say THAT...
