Actually, it looks like an urban themed paintball field to me. That is the only way I can explain the silly positioning of the barricades.

Heh, yeah I'll pay that one. A little more dense than ones I've played on, but yes - just as artificial!

Yeah once we nailed the mechanics properly (main confusion was over firing normally vs blazing away) we flew through turns!

Epic night on the dice as well, my Suppressed Teraton was charged by an enraged assualt enforcer. She decided to fight back, 6 dice to my 2. My mate rolled 5 1's and 5 for 1 hit, i rolled a 8 and 5, then with the extra dice earned rolled a 4.

3 hits to 1!

Managed to sell it most of my gaming club as well, so will be getting a lot on the second pledge manager!

For better or for worse, we're going to be getting lots of shipping updates, unboxing pics, reviews, congratulations, complaints and, hopefully, Jessica Alba.

So, moving forward, let's just all be OK with that and celebrate all things worth celebrating during this celebratory season.

Thanks!

Glad to hear the rules are good, I need to get around to getting started with all this stuff and that gives me more incentive

Got my shipping notice. Apparently UPS is going to arrive on the 16th. Let's hope they do, as that will unusually be a Monday when I am at home.

Yeah HBMC, looks like Aussies are getting it in two waves so far, on the 13th and 16th, going off the WAU forum.

Mine too, I was thinking of taking the day off work, but that seems amazingly fast considering they haven't actually received it yet. How likely is it to be accurate?

If other people want to use my spreadsheet, I'll make a copy and share that one so people can save, edit it.

tomorrow I'll sit down and make a spreadsheet for my terrain.

I'm not going to ask for my missing pieces, even though i really liked the sorak. =/

1) Yes - please upload a 'clean' and editable version for us - that would be nice indeed!

2) You should absolutely ask for your missing figures!

Agree completely with Alpharius here. Sharing the clean doc will be awesome. Even for me who already sorted stuff.

As for the missing stuff, fill out the form. I was missing 2 Soraks myself, as well as an entire Rebel Faction Booster bundle.

I guess sometime late yesterday FedEx got my box in the UK, and during the night teleported it to Memphis, and from there it has made the trip to coastal GA and is scheduled for delivery today!

While we wait for solo rules, here's a fun variant you can play right now, all by yourself.

1. Dry-fit the head of one of your 2nd Gen Plague models.

2. Get distracted by something (baby, cat, wife, whatever) and bump said figure, knocking its head onto the floor.

3. Spend the next hour looking for the head. No cheating - you may not use a magnifying glass.

I playtested this game variant myself yesterday, and recommend it to no one.

If I play that at my house, one of the dogs is sure to eat the missing head. That adds a bit of interest to the game.

I did that with one of the Gen 3 plagues, thankfully Mantic cheated and had sent me an extra sprue of the other style of Gen 3 heads that I just glued on...

A fun game I played last night was try and make the Marauder Pyro's arm touch the wrist and shoulder joint at the same time. Even after several trips to the hot water tap, it's still going to require some green stuff for the gaps that remain..To be fair though, having done the Rebs and Enforcers it's the only model i've had any real difficulty with.

Am I the only one that feels the Enforcer Engineer is a PITA to build? I mean he even looks odd when completed.

I really wish that they models were more generic with the options for Engineer, Sniper, Heavy Rifle or Assault Blade. Then we could choose alternate poses and stuff. Its going to be annoying that all my snipers and Engineers look the same. I think I can mode the other guys to some degree at least.

Well the hard plastic multipose Enforcers coming in the next wave should help with that Plus everyone gets at least one sprue of them for free.

Whoever said that the bases don't fit and I dismissed, I apologize. Assembled the ML Enforcer last night. I ended up just cutting both his base and the platforms off since the base didn't fit anyways.

Platforms are silly.

@Vermonter, I've been playing that game with my warpath assault enforcer for days =/ Decided (foolishly?) to magnetize his arms and thought the head should go to for more amusing pose-ability. May end up gluing it though.

Very useful KS update for a lot of you confused by what is in your delivery here http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1744629938/deadzone-the-sci-fi-miniatures-board-game/posts/691466?ref=activity

mere hours after I spent ages making a similar thread

The update confirms there is only one Sorak but 4 Human troopers rather than 2 Soraks and 3 Human Troopers due to tooling issues. So if you thought your missing a Sorak you only get 1 now.

Weird when you only get 2 human rebs and 1 Sorak in the faction starter

http://www.manticgames.com/mantic-shop/pre-order/deadzone/product/rebs-faction-starter-11-figures.html

Also the baggie with 2 human rebs comes with a Yndij leader in it too, so 3 minis in exchange for the 1 Sorak?

That explains why I got 4 bags of them with my doubled rebs.

Hmm. That just brought up more questions. The mortar track thingy was only if you got the Marauder booster or is that supposed to come with Strike Team?

I ordered a retail version from Mantic (the mega deal) and it's now shipping, so anyone else who bought post-KS should get theirs fairly soon.

Very excited right now...

That was in the "booster", I think, not in the starter set, so not in basic Strike Team pledge,

My mom just ordered me a couple of crazy boxes and i guess there was an advisement that they may be delayed so they're definitely busy.
