Hello chaps, I thought I would do my part to spread awareness of a fantastic flight sim which I am a great fan of. Set in the skies of France during the First World War

It is called Rise of Flight, and it is without a doubt the best current gen flight Sim available.

Check out the Official Website here. Where you can download the Free demo.

Not only are the graphics beautiful but the flight models, physics, gunnery and more are beautifully rendered and with a high degree of accuracy. Twisting dogfighting in canvas machines firing machine gun's at your fellow man, what could be funner!

A few un-edited in-game screenshots taken on my PC:

Ltn. Hans Bohning prepares to dive back into the dogfight

A Fokker E.III patrols at dusk.

The Red Baron, Manfred von Richtofen flies with his brother Lothar.

Albatros fighters duel with Sopwith Triplanes over the front.

The next update, due at the end of May also includes a long-awaited Dynamic Campaign. You can read more about it from the developer's blog but it has a list of features that should appeal to any PC Gamer and even you war-gamers. I hope anyone who played the old Red Baron, Aces over Europe or other old flight sims will check it out, as well as anyone new who is interested.

Looks absolutely stunning. As a old time player of the aforementioned Red Baron series, I am sorely tempted to check this out when I get home!

It certainly has joystick support.

Also feel free to try Cliffs of Dover, than hurl the disc into the bin because they are charging you full price for an Alpha test. The most unfinished game since Ultima X

Also you can play this game for free, so why not.
