I like my film threads
As a kind of follow up to 'Best movie fight scenes'
What do you think the best/your favourite film endings are?
Right now, i'm thinking the ending of The Road, very emotional, very sad but also with a bit more positive moments right at the end.
What does everyone else think?

Right off the top of my head, my favorite film endings would be ...
Night of the Living Dead.
The Devils Rejects.
Reservoir Dogs.

A recent one but definitely the best ending to a film EVER; a clear message, a denouement to the character arc, darkly funny and effortlessly cool. It isn't necessarily the best film ever (is still bloomin' good though) but you're a phillistine if you don't understand how great the ending is.... EDITED to show i am only being playfully elitist....

I really like the way Christopher Nolan ends his movies, there always very cinematic and are accompanied by a beautiful yet dynamic score (Thank you Hans Zimmer). The first two that come to mind are "The Dark Knight" and "Inception." I think I've watched the endings to these movies at least 50 times each on youtube lol.

The Usual Suspects. Hands down.
My dad rented it and watched it, all except the last few minutes (because my mom came home and she is a bit sensitive to violent movies). He said it was "pretty good" but didn't get it. I laughed my ass off when he told me.
Oh, and the end of the Scary movie that spoofed The Usual Suspects. Sgt Doofy did it!

I REALLY enjoyed skylines ending. When I saw those names start scrolling, I felt like I let out one of those big farts that was hurting your stomach, but now the pressures off so everything is so much better?
Seriously, I read the SKYLINE thread when the movie came out and I heard all the bad people said about it....but I normally dont believe others.....god I wished I had listened
