Just for the record, those 23 balloons where in fact Daemon Princes.

The Emperor doesn't have a GKs unshakable faith in the Emperor which is....basically himself?

Bravo, a crack shot from an Imperial Guardsman on a firing range.

Balloon-destroying lasers?! What a technological breakthrough, in green too! Who knows what could come next; before you know it we might have power armour or 1000 bullets-per-second guns.

Yeah, it works if you have a long enough power cord

Bah, it's that completely and utterly moronic "flashlight" internet meme again.

Strapping a nuclear reactor to a combatant is a terrible idea in practice. The umbilicus is our only rational way to power them.
"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."
This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.
Most power armors don't use that pack anyway, hit's mostly just Marine and Sororitas armors.
Power armor used by inquisitorial acolytes use a very advanced battery that lasts for anywhere between four and twenty four or so hours depending on its quality (I don't know the upper limit), while power armor used by the Adeptus Mechanicus uses the Potentia Coil technology which provides essentially a constant flow of energy for the Techpriest to utilize for their various rituals, armors, weapons, mechadendrites, etc.
The Potentia Coil is the power source which is the most interesting though. It's some sort of crystal stack based power generator, generates a small but effectively unlimited supply of energy, and can store vast quantities. This energy also can be utilized by their body, which is why many techpriests don't need to sleep.

It probably utilizes Zero Point energy and stores it.
after a few thousand years the suit has a practically unlimited reserve with an unlimited recharging capacity.

michio kaku actually came up with a design for a real lightsaber. it's more like a hand help plasma cutter sword, but it gets the effect across.
also, i want a jetpack. i'd take a jetpack over most of the new tech stuff. i know theres the russian guy who's sponsored by brietling, i just dont remember his name. he's got a fully working jetpack.... WANT!
