Alreet everybody i need a bit of help making some 40k zombies such as:

-what armies to use

Tali'Zorah: I appreciate what you're doing here, Shepard.
Commander Shepard: Well, I care deeply about the quarian people.
Tali'Zorah: It's good to be back on the Normandy.
Commander Shepard: Let me know if it's too quiet for you to sleep, and I'll find you someplace louder.
Tali'Zorah: Hmm.
Garrus Vakarian: Uh, I was there when you two had your thing, remember? Just get a room and work it out.

I'm unsure of what kind of army you're wanting to play, but my suggestion would be to find one and zombify it. You could do something similar to Nurgle but without all the rot and disease . Also, GW has a zombie unit here that might be a good starting place for conversions. Don't limit yourself just to GW though, look around at other lines!

Well, you may throw your rock and hide your hand
Workin' in the dark against your fellow man
But as sure as God made black and white
What's down in the dark will be brought to the light.

I was thinking of making a nurgle plague army using the necron codex but I'm not sure if it'll actually work out. Just a thought really.

I always thought the tyranid codex would be a good place to start for zombies. Depends on the zombie though. I'm thinking runners/infected/mutant kind of thing. For shambling hordes? I have no idea.

I made some zombies to work as conscripts in my renegade IG force. They'd also make a good stand in as 'demons' for your death guard.

I made mine out of fantasy zombie parts mixed with IG parts..

If you are going to be using this zombie horde as a 'standard' force, I suggest you go with either tyranids or IG for the zombies themselves, not sure how you would do the other units.

If your gaming group don't mind you using this, I would suggest using the Apocalypse Lost and the Damnedrules to represent your zombie hordes.

As for models, cadian/catachan + fantasy zombies = win!
The more you miscellaneous bits you mix in the better!

When I see these "counts as armies" I think you should always make them as close to an actually codex as possible.

For this reason, Zombies, roughly human, use IP dex.

Could make a horde army using guard models and zombify them. Prehaps give them carapace armour for that added toughness factor. You have the option of ogryns for those always comical big massive fat zombies.

anyway, goodluck

Yeah zombie and guard bits work the best, little bit of green stuff aswell. It would probably be the cheapest way to get 40k zombies, the only models i've seen from other brands were metal

GW 40k zombies are cheap enough.

No one buys zombies
no one buys plastic catachans.

Always sold on ebay as bits for cheap like $5 per squad.... give it a try :3
