I like how there's enough gore flying around that you can't even see where you're going. I'm loving it.

Hey, looks like Relic figured out that bolters shoot EXPLOSIVES instead of bullets finally. I can't tell you how happy that "headshot-turned-torso-obliteration" made me.

All in all, this game looks to be a good stress reliever if nothing else.

I'm sorry but I'll say the same here that I said to the, apprently terrified of human conversation, gamers/GW employees: This is going to suck balls.

Why developers are allowed to portray orks as cookie cutter "I'm going to stand here and wait for five minutes while you kill me and I'll only be mildly irritating if you happen to be so stupid/lazy/rubbish that you haven't managed to kill me with your first attack.."

Don't get me wrong: I'm going to buy it. I'm going to find SOMETHING to enjoy about it, but this is going to fly in the face of so much of the fluff and background that 40k fans will need to learn to use controllers with their feet due to the sheer length of time they will need to spend face palming.

Rant over. Positives:

Gore looks ok
Weapons look reasonably close to their fluff/tabletop counterparts (Excluding ofcourse the supercharged las rifle)
The scale isn't too far off

Best thing about the video?: The part on the bridge where the smurf is pounding the ork flyer with the plasma gun - It reminds me so much of the reavers in serenity movie (Yes, I realise that Firefly came first).

Depends on the difficulty settings. And besides I don't think those Orks are really going to stand about picking their noses while you unleash Holy FUry upon their warty asses Nobz are supposed to be on par with your character which offers some potential mini-bossfights ingame. I like that.

Best bit I've seen/heard so far? NO STUPID COVER SYSTEM I am so glad the game is going from the stupid norm and encourages you to waltz into combat and beat Orks in the face.

Wow. it looks so good. is it coming out on pc?

DEAR SHOE,

THAT'S RIGHT YOU ARE A SHOE. THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT NOT BEING A SHOE BECAUSE IN MY MIND YOU ARE ONE AND THAT IS MOST UNFORTUNATE.
AS LONG AS I HAVE YOU CONCEPTUALIZED AS A SHOE IN MY IMAGINATION YOU SHALL REMAIN AS SUCH.
THIS MAKES ME WONDER WHETHER ALL PEOPLES AND OBJECTS CAN BE CONCEPTUALIZED AS SHOES AND THUS BECOME SUCH, GRANTING ME ABSOLUTE POWER OVER THEM. DO YOU HAVE A CLEVER ARGUMENT? NO YOU DON'T, YOU"RE A SHOE. SHOES CAN'T HAVE CLEVER ARGUMENTS.
I FEEL LIKE THE WEIGHT OF THE WORLD HAS BEEN LIFTED OFF MY SHOULDERS NOW THAT EVERYTHING IS UNDER MY CONTROL, NOW THAT YOU ARE ALL SHOES. I NO LONGER HAVE TO ANSWER TO MY REGRETS AND PAST MISTAKES BECAUSE THEY ARE SIMPLY SHOES.

meh, I don't care for fps with over gore and no thinking. Space marines aren't mindless berskers, they are master strategists.

It should be an 'every shot counts' game, not a just shoot everything you can game, the more you kill in violent ways, the more you win.....

I was going to buy this, but now I'm on the fence.

I dislike that the Space Marine can 'stomp' the ground and cause all surrounding enemies to fall down.

And then there's this...

Lasgun?
What so strange about it?

That's supposed to be a Lascannon. Not a Lasgun... A Lascannon.

Its this

Light Lascannon (w/o backpack) from Dark Heresy. He can't just drop on a backpack in the field to become a devastator.

Same here, on both accounts, but seriously....

Whats wrong with the Multilasor?

Well this is close to some fluff-not the stuff from the codex, but I mean Black Library. Read the book about the Iron Snakes, and Helsreach, and tell me this doesn't seem familiar.

Anyways, there is no sum I would not pay for this game.

This is a TPS, not a FPS.

Ha.

The Iron Snakes book was my first BL read. Got me hooked.

OT: I'm a demanding customer. I have yet to play a 40K game that does the fluff justice.

It all just feels like Gears of War with a paper 40k mask hung on it.

Fair enough, the difficulty may have the Orks being properly portrayed but I doubt very much that the game will give me the 40k feeling I get from reading stuff like Gaunts Ghosts, Ravenor or Salmander: A desperate struggle you genuinely feel like you are going to lose. A brutal, graceless, swirling mass of violence. Spacemarines are supposed to make it look easy, but not as easy as this game seems to make it look.

It feels too much like a run and gun that you can button mash through.

Personally, i think its going to be a amazing game, yea it will have its downfalls, every game does, but the pros are going to way out weigh the cons to it, and come on, its a game that gives you control over a space marine, how long have we been waiting for this moment????

SUFFER NOT THE UNCLEAN TO LIVE
Lead us from death to victory,
from falsehood to truth.
Lead us from despair to hope,
from faith to slaughter.
Lead us to his strength
and an eternity of war.
Let His wrath fill our hearts.

in vengeance serve the Emperor

Gameplay is supposed to be like a mix of GoW and Halo+melee.

I don't think it'll be too much like GoW because there isn't an enormous focus on melee in GoW, and GoW is almost 100% cover based, with pot-shots being the way to win.

Of course it's going to look easy in the trailer. It always does
