try planning it out before you do it, the models you posted look pretty static so a conversion would be hard. with green stuff, be sure to get an even girth and to make it look like a strap, you can put another allot smaller sqaure peice in the middle of it and use an exacto knife to scatch out the groove lines of a buckle.

The main thing I need is their legs.
ANd for some armor im thinking of taking termie legs and/or power armor legs, cut of the backs and hollowing out the greaves of the legs and putting them on.
Also using a termie upper body with green stuff fur built up on the back to give it the hunch of the werewolf. Arms I want to use a mixture of both, yay for pinning.

Also what about when i want to put a chunk of leather armor on or a leather strap, do i scratch in all the details. BEcause some of the wolves I just posted have moons and details on their armor and body; should i scratch those in, or green stuff it. Also if I was to green stuff the armor/strap details, would i cut them out like I would cut out cookie shapes? I am new to the greenstuff and want to do it right with tis project.

Does anyone know any good tutorials of how to sculpt things with green stuff. I want to be able to build arms or legs or fix them.

Yes those wolves are are pretty big but once i get a good scoop on them and address their size I will be able to figure out what I can do with them.

So i have been modelling these wulfen, they are roughly a little bit bigger than a terminator. So besides cutting my finger open all the way to the bone, i have ran into the dilemma, do terminators have power packs to power weapons and storm bolters? or do they not need power packs?

I believe they do but I think its hidden under the back of the terminator armor where those vent looking things are. Can't wait to see the results of the fist model.

Cannot believe you cut up confrontation miniatures, that is as close to sacrilege as you could potentially be in the miniature world.

Honestly, I would just eliminate the power cables, they seem out of place, a bit more armour plating and you'd be good to go.

As for that, I agree, but I also love power cables. Maybe you could do guitar wire to make them look more techy?

Those models are prepaints from confrontation 4, which are basically a shadow of the quality, creativity, and dynamism that made confrontation 3 and 3.5 (metal!) famous.

Dude, the idea sounded pretty implausible and I was expecting a train wreck... but you have done fairly well. I have to give you respect for exceeding my expectations. I think you have to tweak the wild beast : marine ratio a bit more. I think you should try sculpting bracers representing shattered scraps of power armor onto a forearm with cables connecting the front and back forearm scraps. Also, check the GW oop wolfen models for inspiration.

My name is sakrileg which is german for sacrilege LOL.
The gitair strings for power cables is a good idea. When the GS dried i was just gonna carve in notches to makes it more techy.
Also I will be adding some more termie parts, to even out the ratio, it was just 4am and i wanted to get some rest so i can study for my math final tomorrow.

He will get a fore arm bracer on his sword arm for sure and maybe one on his tiny watch bolter.

But thank you for the encouragement dakka, really appreciate it!

That's great conversion work! I was planning on doing the same thing, though my Wulfen would be Thunderwolves count as.

I'm curious to see how the others will turn out. Good luck and great job!

Am I the only person thinking of the fact that without a complete suit of termy armour they wouldn't get the armour rating and they wouldn't be able to lift the dam thing. In a couple of the fluff book backgrounds there's mention of the fact that if the suit is inactive the semi human inside wuldn't be able to move an inch. If the suit is broken up and non functional then it won't work. the models look cool so far but the concept is a bit frakked to me. Even the wulfen models that GW has released so far it's pretty clear that they have had to scrounge spare parts to keep their armour working.

Well, I still need to greenstuff some more armor on them to help "achieve" that 2+ armor save, also their muscles and outright strength is superior to that of a normal space marine, they would have an easier time moving. Also they point is that these wolfen are completely sane and they do have the space puppies help, getting parts together to make their makeshift termie armor work.

Yes I am using the plastic models for 90% of this project. I used part of the metal one for the Wolf Lord. The rest are all being done with plastic, its much easier and cheaper.
