Ok, say what you want about lack of durability, increased prices, etc... But as a Tyranid collector, I'm thrilled by the new Finecast range. No army has as many top-heavy moels as the Tyranids, and many of those were metal...Oh the pains of trying to put together a Hive Tyrant...

But now, no longer, for ultra-light, malleable, easily convertable resin is here! EMPEROR PRAISE GAMES WORKSHOP!

I dont really see this as news or a rumor.

I agree with such things being a person who has built a metal hive tyrant (/shakes) but I do not see how this is news or rumour friend. =)

How are lighter, easier to assemble, easier to convert models a punishment, unless you're some kind of modelling masochist? I have recently purchased a Finecast Hive Guard, and it seems great. Brilliant quality, nice and light, and I can take off the flash with my fingernail, instead of having to slave over the model with a file.

Damn, I wish Finecast had come out long before I joined the hobby!

I prefer working with metal still.
Granted it solves top heavy issues, but so does smart basing.

Tyrant wasnt a real issue to glue, 2 i have are just basic glue and my flyrant is pinned, none have broke yet or had any issues.

Yeah, expose the Finecast Zoanthrope model to the sun, and it won't be topheavy anymore
