So I was digging through my Guard army over the weekend to do some basic repairs and maintenance. And since I had so much of it unpacked anyway, figured I'd get everything out and set it up and take some pictures. So here it goes, hope you guys enjoy it. Just so you know, I'm not any sort of professional photographer so I apologize if the picture quality is not up to par. Also, I guess I should point out that I'm more of a tabletop-quality painter than a showcase painter. Still, it's a big collection (in my opinion anyway) and I'm fairly proud that I've got so much IG that is actually painted. Yay me.

So here ya go...

212th Dinbao Anti-Tank Regiment on parade...

The Colonel and retinue...

Basic infantry wave...

Penal legion platoon...

Padre Neels (priest)...

Heavy weapons and special weapons platoons...

OMG, that is immense, kudos, wish i had the funds for a killer array of models like that :p

i like the paint scheme too, epsecially the HWT's

Theres something about raiding planets and then bathing in the slaves misery and torment that really gets me. I love DE, and can now play in 2000point matches with the addition of my latest stuff! Kabal of the Purple Blaze.

I also have 2 squads of IG Shock troopers and a Platoon Comand squad as a start to my IG army For Cadia Check out my blog - http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/380874.page#3047386

Amazing that you have the patience to paint it all.
But I'm not really a big fan of the white (that's just me) and I really dislike the bases, to distracting from the models.
Nonetheless, amazed by your patience.

Many thanks for all the kind sentiments!

For a long time my policy on getting stuff painted was to do 2 infantry grunts a day, every day. Only took 30 minutes or so a day due to the pretty simplistic paint scheme... and 14 a week eventually got the job done. They came off looking a little more WW2 German than I had intended (particularly with the whitewashed vehicle camo)... but such is life.

@ kenshin...

Actually, the red objects are bricks, I was going for an urban rubble basing theme. Used kitty litter (not post-use obviously *grin*) for the basic rubble, primed black with the model, drybrushed codex grey, drybrushed white over that. Came off a bit too light in some cases but ah well. I've got a decent amount of terrain painted to match the regiment so it'd probably be more obvious if I had the terrain alongside. Thanks for the comments though!

Here are a few more. Again, sorry about the picture quality. Everything else is too blurry to bother uploading.

A mob of (blurry) flamers. They look blurry because of the heat they're about to unleash. Yeah, that's it, sure.

An anti-tank regiment can have tanks in support. Tanks can kill tanks. As for the Hellhounds... well, the regiment was founded as an anti-tank regiment. But it's had other mauled units merged in to remain full strength. And besides, efficient anti-personnel weapons like Hellhounds mean the others can focus more on anti-tank.

No idea how many points, I suppose it depends how I fielded the various models. I remember I played in a 6,000 point apocalypse game once and had stuff still in the box. I think that was with standard FOC though. If I threw out the FOC... who knows? Alot.

I'm working on a Deathstrike at the moment. It's not a very good unit, I know... but all regiments should have at least one nuke.

No close-ups, no. Just them lurking in the background. They're mainly used for special ops stuff, which is why they have black paintjobs. Matches my Storm Troopers, who don't have a zoomed in shot either (they're kinda middle of the pack if you squint hard).
