Hi all, ive recently stumbled upon adeptus arbites and they seem PRETTY cool!

so ive looked into a list using the witch hunter book, using storm troopers, inquisitors and rhinos to create a military police theme!

dark blue overalls with white armour

just wondering what model range do you think would go best in this design?

the GW cadians, with Rhinos?
(perhaps model some plasticard riot shields to explain the extra armour?)

or the pig iron Heavy infantry
http://www.pig-iron-productions.com/index.php?main_page=popup_image&pID=25

with the below tanks as "rhinos"

look forward to your help

For game-play i would use-Veterans with shotguns and carapace armour mounted in surpressors. (Chimeras but use the rhino chassis)

Not sure on the models though...
Pig Iron are a good bet i suppose...

The Pig Iron stuff is certainly my preferrance. It just looks more police forcey than generic Cadian stuff.

Reading the Arbites novel now. They seem to prefer the Rhino as a mode of transport, and their carapace armour is generally black or dark blue.

Storm Troopers can't take shotguns though AFAIK.
Arbites use shotguns.

it says in the designer note at the bottom, "storm trooper squads may be used to represent squads of the adeptus arbites by replacing each troopers hellgun and targeter with a shotgun at no extra cost." and the stat line of troopers is better than gaurd.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
IG veterans are the same stat line except LD 7 not 8 and SV+5 not 4, i can give them SV= 4 for 30 points which levels them out too 100 the same for troopers, but troops LD is still higher.

Fair enough.
Are you using the WH codex then?

Fair enough, not particularly familiar with it...
But, the IG codex suits them better IMO.

The Necromunda models are pretty nifty, but are they pricey?

$40 (US) for a patrol of six, with a robot dog if I recall. So yeah, pretty expensive. I've been reading all the Necromunda stuff I can find lately, and looked at the model range; I intend to just scratch build some (figures that would work in Necromunda, possibly arbites) with wire and green stuff, after I get around to finishing the Lady Malys sculpt I started, to practice sculpting and all.

Technically they're not Arbites, though. They're local enforcers. Still kitted out like Arbites, though.

They're Arbites Enforcers.

They've got the winged skull of the Adeptus Arbites, rather than the standard iconography you'd see of local Enforcers.

@Sir P: $40 for 6 and a wee doggy (which I think would make a great arco-flaggellant squad) isn't too bad. About as expensive as the Kasrkin models, especially once you factor in any special weapons.

Well, some good news then, it's 7 Arbites plus the Cyber-Mastiff. Even more reason to get two sets.

The Necromunda rules do say that they are local Enforcers, who just happen to have equipment very similar to the Arbites.
Traditonally the Arbites have a winged fist.

Kanluwen wrote:Apparently this is the only Judge they sell now.

Indeed. Two of the sergeants and one of the heavy stubber models are not available anymore.

There was only one heavy stubber model as far as I know.

I would strongly urge against building anything using the Witchhunter list right now, as rumors have it they will be getting an overhaul in White Dwarf relatively soon.

Perhaps you can do what you intend with the GK book, using Corteaz and henchmen?

There is another one, looking forward with visor down. Here's a compilation of the miniatures:

Omegus wrote:Perhaps you can do what you intend with the GK book, using Corteaz and henchmen?

There's the possibility that the Inquisitorial portions of the GK book will be copied in the Sororitas codex. Either way it'd indeed be wise to wait till then (or only buy/build units you can use with for example the IG codex), since the Inq. units the current WH codex has will certainly be gone in that form, namely the Stormtroopers.
