Warcasters are awesome. They're a big part of this game and largely define out forces. I think they deserve some special attention

So tell me dakka, who is YOUR favourite warcaster (or warlock if you're a Hordes person) and WHY?

I'll go first; mine is pNemo because I love his model
Its a great mix of crazy science, steam punk, and magic... plus I like lightning...and he invented the Thunderhead, which is the coolest Cygnar 'jack imo

pVlad, The Prince of Umbra,
His artwork in Prime mkii is what drew me to the game, with his twin swords, crimson armour and massive shoulder pads, and his fluff is just a win for me.

pGoreshade is one of my favorites. The way he basicly stops warcasters from being warcasters once he's close by and he can create a whole new unit, very mean in small games, oh and cant be killed while the deathwalkers about.

Although recently I'm starting to like pDeneghra alot more. I always forget how good she is.

Both casters are well written I can't chose between them.

We love what we love. Reason does not enter into it. In many ways, unwise love is the truest love. Anyone can love a thing because. That's as easy as putting a penny in your pocket. But to love something despite. To know the flaws and love them too. That is rare and pure and perfect.

eCaine, because I love the fluff and the model. Something about him just reminds me of Han Solo.

Goreshade the Bastard. He's got great fluff that spans several of the army books, and I've not even read the old MkI stuff!

Overall, I'd go with Epic Caine. There are others I prefer depending on my mood but a first go-to for most cases would be him.

For Asthetics: Kromac. Something satisfying of having a caster that folks will look at the table sometimes and be shocked when I point out he's my caster while beasted-out and killing things.

For Gameplay: Baldur. He kind of just works for me. Always has.

And stuff.

Pssst, those are WarLOCKS, not WarCASTERS.

eButcher. About forty years ago Baldur removed Page 5 from the rulebook and planted it in the ground. 9 months later it grew into eButcher. 9 months after that, everyone was dead. MKII is actually alternate fiction of "what would happen if eButcher wasn't such a pimp?". True story.

That's why I'd run him as counts as Darius. He then becomes a twofer. Although, I'm not sure that I'd say that Darius is my favorite 'Lock.

I dig the Butcher. He was my first warcaster, and I still love his utter madness and the ability to put down whatever he charges and goes into melee with.

I also like Kromac, for the reasons Blaque has stated.

And Strakhov is pretty bad-ass. Considering that he's pretty much Khador's version of black ops. Distract them with the Butcher.... and send Strakhov behind the lines to kill everyone else while they're tackling Orsus.

Borka. Borka doesn't go to parties, he IS the party.
When Borka shows up with his wingman Skaldi, say goodbye to your furnishings!

Caster would be Caine, both versions.

I really want to say Dawnlord Vyros Nyaar. I adore his background and his model is on par with even ehaley and harbinger to me. But, well... he dose not perform well for me on the battlefield. I'm hoping the wrath myrmidons reinvigorate him.
Right now I'm going to have to say Major Victoria Haley. Shes ridiculous to play, has a compelling story that has made her one of the central figures in the overall story, and is one of the best looking models PP has ever produced.

Can I have more than one?

Retribution - Ravyn, Masterskae said it better than I ever would be able to.

Cygnar - Siege...he caries an RPG enough said.

Skorne - Rasheth, he reminds me of the hedonism bot from futurama, and who doesn't love tortured baby elephants

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Warcaster? Alexander Karchev. He has the best quote in the Iron Kingdoms. Upon learning that Cygnaran scouts had escaped to warn Northguard of the impending attack, Karchev's response was "Good. Surprise is for the weak."

Warlock? Krueger the Stormlord. He's out to destroy all of civilization. If you haven't read his badassery in the circle book or the story of his meeting with Blighterghast in Metamorphosis, go read them.
