Places to look at:

Back of the right arm.

Front of the left arm.

Left spike on the body.

Front of the assault cannon.

There's some strange warping going on here. I've done a lot of resin casting and can't help but think that this is a recast. Thoughts?

Other than a stunning paint job I see nothing out of the ordinary about this model. The points you suggested are conversions I think, made of green stuff.

It does look quite irregular in some places. Although does it matter if it is a recast?

The leaning tower of resin?

Possible I guess but the power cables and such look a bit to nice for a recast.

Probably work

Could be that he used some FW parts. I don't know if that's an assault cannon made by FW or not. If the back of the arm is the same back I'm thinking of, it only has two of those "windows" in it. He probably just GSed the third on. Really just makes the entire thing that more impressive.

Looks like a failcost miniature to me lol

It does seem to have been built with a mish-mash of modified and recast bits

the model looks and feels imbalanced, and probably is quite heavy on its left side, and the weapons look quite poorly painted.

It looks too rusted for something thats inquisition, and the skull on the pilot doesn't seem well-done either...

The photography/manipulation hasn't helped the mini.

And the paint job isn't the best.

Forge World's weapons are pretty bare, so you can add your own iconography to them.

It looks like it's the metal Venerable Dreadnought, but there are some weird spots on the back that make it look like they're resin mold attachments.

I'm guessing this is the case, looking at the assault cannon it looks like it's bent and the arm itself looks a little warped, but the warping seems more consistent with large metal pieces (i.e. sagging in the middle of large flat areas etc) than with resin warping.

It's also a heavy kitbash based on the Inquisitor Karamazov and Throne of Judgement model, in fact the entire back and everything below the sarcophagus is from the throne of judgement kit, the multi-melta from it is on there as well.

So Im guessing its a massive kitbash of the old venerable dread and the throne of judgement. I've got a throne of judgement sitting about I have to build for a friend, so I can tell you it's a pig for warping.

Not only is it a major kitbash, but either there's something really wrong with the paint job or the camera lens, or some of this has been photoshopped. The ven dread power fist (which looks like it's from the new kit, actually) has some odd shadows that don't seem consistent with real paint or lighting effects. Various pieces also look BADLY attached. The storm bolter on the power fist looks very wonky, for example. I would not trust it without better photos. Maybe even WIP shots if available.

To me? Absolutely not. Though if I was a buyer I'd be ticked about it.

Selling obvious recasts on EBAY is asking for trouble though. Some of the bits, specifically the back of the AC arm and the front of the PF arm, show abnormalities consistent with shoddy recasting.

FeeBay... I seen the guy's logo around before.. I am not a great painter, but I am entirely confident that I could do better than him. He was charging 3x the going rate for a badly painted red terror. The guy is from south america.

The assault Cannon is like spagetti, the detail on those arches is very hit and miss, Mould lines and terrible painting like I said all kinds of wrong.... It certainly has the feel of a misscast copy to me but I can see how it might be bad airbrush technique and not misscast copying?

Problem is, it's not painted very well overall.

Yeah I have to agree that those arches and that assault cannon are very wonky. Not sure if it's a recast or just a poorly done conversion.

But it's not really well painted. It's a bunch of good looking (in theory) painting techniques hodgepodged onto one model. It has this sort of NMM thing going on in some parts that looks okay, but other parts of it are drybrushed once over black and look like butt. Midgard Models is the premiere "pr0 painted L@@K!!!!1!" eBay painting company. Take that for what you will.

Somewhere in south-central England.

My first thought was that the left leaning pose is a bad choice for a massively heavy war machine.

Perhaps it was chosen to disguise the left shoulder spike being longer than the right.

The barrels on the gatling gun need to be drilled.

The paint job is fine, nothing very special but certainly above a good tabletop and I would be very satisfied unless I had paid for a museum display level of work.

I don't know about the other minor details. The model is so encrusted with bling that I would never notice an extra window arch here or there. The overall pose seems much more important to me.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

Its just bad posing, unusual colour that is making it look odd.

It is probably a mix between a metal deardnought and the throne of judgement.

I don't think its a recast because, why the hell will someone make a recast of both models and just glue them together and sell it.

Its probably a conversion.
