Here's how I think this works. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Upon the roll of a one, any model that enters, moves through or exits difficult terrain suffers a wound with only INV saves allowed. Sergeant, flamer guy regulars etc. always roll seperately. Only the models that have moved through dangerous terrain may be removed.

Part 2
How many tests does each model take:

Unit A - Moves and runs through DT
Unit B - Moves, runs and assaults through DT

Unit C - Does not move or runl, but assaults through DT
Unit D - Does not move or run, but assaults through DT, and fails the charge

Well the world isn't going to take over its' self now is it? And what kind of achievement will that be without fashionable henchmen? Normally this wouldn't have been a problem, but I had all my fashion designers executed.
Should anyone help design a new flashy uniform, I just might spare you on the day of judgement. MUHAHAHA!

Yes, DT is worked out on a model by model basis.

Unit A takes 2 tests
Unit B takes 3 tests
Unit C takes 1 test
Unit D takes none, unless they could reach but the only model(s) that could died from DT. Then you test until it's impossible to actually assault and stop.

I couldn't ask for a more precise answer. Thanks for the info

It is also *dangerous* terrain, not difficult - you mixed terms in your original post.

Also it is the actual model that fails the DT check that suffers the wound; any other model suffering the wound (being removed as a casualty or having their wound count deprecated) and you have broken a rule.
