Hi guys,
Was just thinking about how much I love it when a plan comes together, and thought I would ask about which tactics you guys enjoy utilising the most during your games of 40k!
'Buying a stormraven' is not a tactic. lol
Have fun!

The counter, using something as a rediculous sacrifice usually Kroot so that everything can blast what ate the kroot. However if the kroot hold, it gets intersting.
the fear: having out flanking units that are pretty good. Genestealers are key note. The phear drives most opponests to hug the middle and clump, so the Malwocs get good and blasty.
Firing at the closest target until it's dead...

i like to use flayed ones (can only be hit in cc if enemy passed LD Check otherwise can only be hit on a roll of 6) followed very very closely by a squad of pariahs (bringing all enemy with 12in down to LD7) and with the flayed ones being joined by a lord with Gaze of flame (no bonus attack for being charged and enemies get -1 LD while in CC) bring total enemy LD down to 6 now must pass a LD chech every turn or only hit on 6. pretty good combo if you ask me. or have a destroyer lord with a staff of light S5 AP3 Asaullt3 power weapon, res orb, GoF, and phylactery (allows lord to potentialy get up with all wounds), joined with 6 wraiths, thats a unit that was 6/7 S5 attacks (including 3 from shooting) that will penetrate most armor and 18/24 S6 attacks in cc that wound very easily. and then swarm dreadnaoughts and landraiders with scarabs

1: Create a killzone for firing and then assault what comes my way, on my terms.
2: Flood the field with models and deny my opponents movement.
3: Rely on cover saves.

Seen some cool stuff here Especially From the Necrons!
I'd better list my own fave tactics so as to not come accross as a hypocrit
1) Deploy my eldar army in two chunks at either end of my deployment zone -> wait for my opponent to divide his forces also to compensate -> use Eldrad's dividation to move one half of my army to where the other half is ->half of his army is now on the other side of the board and useless for at least 1 turn. WINNING!
2) Shove a farseer in a serpent with a unit of avengers -> cast fortune on the unit -> use a screen of fortuned jetseer council to obscure the serpent, giving it a cover save -> deploy the avangers and bladestorm anything in perfect saftey
3) 3 techmarines and a grandmaster all with orbital strike relays -> place them in cover and augment it by +1 -> ask the GW assistant to grab a bucket and a mop if your opponent has just watched you place 12 large blast templates over his army. he probably did piss himself.

Stare the hell out of my opponent, find out where they live, Set fire too their post box, defecate their doorstep, paint a 5 foot wide aquila on their driveway, cut their tyres, siphon their petrol so they can't drive. Psychological warfare works.
Failing that, adapt too the opponent, deny him his strengths and capitalize on their weaknesses. Assault their armour, shoot their assaulters. Deny him each move, bait a unit out of cover, shoot it too pieces. Divide and conquer, split his forces and take it out bit by bit. And roll, roll like I never rolled before

Space Marine: Combat squads with missile launcher, along with scout snipers, give cover fire by taking out light armour. Other combat squads move up for ovjectives in rhinos and razorbacks with captains and command squads. Sternguard come down in drop pod to hit the enemy where they're strongest. Assault squads hit the enemy's weak spots while Termintors give heavy support.
Orks: Waaaagh! or charge and shoot the closest enemies
