Hey all, im looking to put some grotesques and wracks in my army, but as everyone knows they are horrendously priced, does anyone have any ideas on models that could be carved up to look like them, (must be cheaper)

Im not too bothered about wracks as they are a it more sensibly priced but grotesques are ridiculous

Any help is great thanks.

I love the wracks, i think i may have to steal that idea, what parts did you use exactly, i wasnt really reading

how to build:

cut a dryad in half round aout the waist
cut off its feet
pin leg stumps to base and make a GS skirt (its pretty easy)
pop the body back on so it looks like it has a hunch
add some spare arms and a dryad branch to the back
put on a wych helm head
......
profit

How much to make money do you think it would take to make, say 20?

well, its £18ish for 12 dryads + £6 for greenstuff but that would cover 20 models and it depends on how deep your bits box is (though if you have wychs then that should be no problem) and the masks you can make from bald deldar heads with some GS smoothed over their face

soooooooo about £42 for 24 which is much better than £100+ for the same models 5 times

Hmmm, i might do 10 to see how it goes, i have millions of bits but there old warrior bits, none of the new stuff.

I would suggest the following:

Empire flagellants + VC ghouls + bitz box

Flagellant bottoms, flagellant + ghoul tops, ghoul arms and then use bits box to make a load of cruel looking surgery tools for arms etc. and if you have enough use the DE blank helmeted heads.
