It hints through out all the dawn of war games and the novals that the Bloodravens have some dark history that they are covering up. This is just speculation but from the info pulled from the novals and the games it seems like they are decended from Thousand Sons or maybe one of the lost original chapters. Anyone else care to share their opinon?

This gets broughtup about once a week magus sems to be the most popular choice for people to pick.
There are only hintsand no proof as to who they were founded from. So clearly its Alpha Legion. Amirite or what?
I mean AL worked with all kinds of people and the BR work with the pdf forces on DOW2.
The AL claim knowledge to be the most important thing and the BR motto is Knowledge is Power.
Finally nobody knows who founded them so it must be AL because they are sneaky.
Also final extrapolation of knowledge I have pulled from nowhere is that the AL were god guys secretly and they are sneaky like everyone knows so they tricked the high lords if terra to make the BR and then manipulated their past so that there wasn't any documentation and have infiltrated the house of the black library writers and plated hints inside the HH novels and also into thq so that there will be hints at out being Magus to throw everyone off their scent.
Also it's Horus.

"Knowledge is Power, Guard It Well" is a popular saying that flourished during the Great Crusade within the Imperium.
The meaning behind it is so simply self-evident that I shouldn't have to explain it.

The Word Bearers, most notably Chaplain Xaphen uttered the phrase at least once in The First Heretic. Maybe it's the Word Bearers!!! In all seriousness, please, lock this thread, there's been far too many of them.

Good thinking guys!
We have done what all those other threads couldn't and figured it out!
For those to lazy to read the whole thing we have come to a consensus that it is without a doubt that the Blood Ravens recived the geneseed of Alpha Legion mixed with Blood Angels and Raven Guard and the Word Bearers and The Thousand Sons and Sons of Horus and the 2nd and 16th legions with a dash of the Big E's drool and a drop of purplefood's blood tha he claims to have, for good mesure

Hmm, I do seem to remember Kid_Kyoto coming up with the best theory behind 'the birth' of the Blood Ravens on this thread a while back...
