My warhammer play ebbs and flows. I've been away for a while but getting geared up tp get back into it now.

I have an eldar army and a necron army. I know necros haven't been particularly competetive for a while (hopefully changing with the new codex) but how are eldar looking at tournys? I've read that they have a lot of trouble some many of the new powerful lists.

What are currently the top tier armies? Last I played mech IG and orks were doing very well. Now it seems GK, BA, and Space Wolves are the dominating forces?

Edit: Also, does everyone still run mech armies or does anyone use troops again yet?

competitive lists are people who are good with their armies.

The meta looks good right now. Its a fair shade of lich purple with a bit of arctic blue highlighting. When the sun sets on the meta, its a breathtaking view. So breath-taking that I've had to start locking up MY meta so that people don't try stealing it. Smitty got into an argument with me at the Railhead Rumble about whether his meta's dad could beat up my meta's dad, but we had a judge settle the dispute.

I openly boast about my meta while inside I'm hiding the terrible doubt that yours is better. I'm like a meta clown crying on the inside.

My blood angels do fine with no candy shells around their troops

A leader, usually librarian

2 dreads in drop pods with frag cannons for 1st turn blobby murderyness and flamers

a droppod with death company

3 full assault squads with the trimmings

2 devastator squads with missile launchers. and if i go with a cheap leader like a libby i add another squad with heavy bolters, because i like them

throw in 2 sang priests and you have a large marine army with alot of anti tank weaponry being neutered, which is nice when you look across the field at 20 lascannons that due to marine blobs and shield onf sang make them go to waste.
